(note, after 24 long boring hours, I am back online; thanks tpg! :)
Sunday 9AM:
Last night was fun. I had Tim over here for pizza and a dVD night. The theme seemed to be Comedy; we watched a few eppisodes of one of the British comedys (forget what it was called actually,) then we watched Mother and Son followed by the Comedy Company. I extracted the audio of the Comedy Company DVD; it was volume two, so I am now on a mission to collect all of them! So many memories were brought back of my childhood in the good old 80's when I'd sit down with the family every sunday evening at 7.30 at laugh at Kylie Mole, Colin Carpenter, Uncle Arthur, con the Fruiterer, Josephine (the rude little girl who was always blaming dolly) the talking baby, Ian and MaryAnne's bedtime blues, and heaps more! -- those were the days baby:) I've always said it, the 80's totally and utterly ruled, even though I didn't do a lot back then by way of taking advantage of the best music era, watching Neighbours (boy did I miss out there!) and all that good stuff!
T and I, decided, at the crazy time of 9.30 that we wanted something sweet; we'd had a few chocolates, but Tim ended up off to get some apple crumble which was lovely! -- He left at about 12.15 this morning! time just got away from us.
Well my LJ turns five today. I am going to paste my current LJ stats here, but right now, TPG customers are experiencing some quite rare (I must point out) difficulties, so when this is rectified, I will go to my LJ, and paste them in.
Certainly these five years have been a significant change from when i wrote journal entries just for myself; now almost anyone has access to most of the content I write, (those on my friends page will, of course, sometimes still be privliged to more confidential info, while other times, no-one will know what I'm writing, and when i'm writing it.
Right now, to the final bit of my subject line: It is said by too many of us that "we learn something new every day". And I've decided to now prove this theory. I have copied this idea from my new LJ bud
onlylisa who has adopted this idea quite recently herself, but I think it is a good one, and something that makes us think and expand the mind; I need this, in an effort to regain skills in my creative writing again some day.
So, without further analysis of why I'm doing it, (because I don't always need to explain everything),
( The condensed list of what I have learnt during my 29.34 years )that is the extreme condensed version. I fear that the list most probably would ahve looked considerably bigger last week when I was making plans in my head about the idea. (oh, that's something else I have learnt, and not just last week.)
I have learnt that if I have an idea, for a story or whatever, I need to deal with it on paper there and then, otherwise, the idea drops in value after a few days of downtime. one more:
I have learnt that I love sharing the story of me with others; hence this good ol LJ.
And so is born the "things I have learnt" which I aim to update on a daily basis. They could be trivial, comical, factual or just plain stupid, but they will all be things I learnt that day.
I've not long ago woken up, therefore, haven't learnt a lot, but I will get back to this later this evening no doubt.
til next time, RdFreak
