so since I quit idol ..

So since i decided to quit idol, I have left the community and will use writers block for my writing pleasure. If I hadn't of left, I'd still be in, actually, which I was surprised about, but very soon, the cheating would have caught up to me. Some people, who, in my opinion, didn't have a great piece up, in terms of writing style, still got stacks of votes, and why's that? because I read them pleading with my very own ears, (the concept of reading with one's ears sounds more amusing than it actually is for us.)
Today I am meeting up with W (a friend of R's) in the city where I agreed to help him with his thesis. Should be interesting; I've never met him.
I would really enjoy idol if people would only be fair. it's a shame that most people feel so incompetent that they have to ask their non-LJ friends for votes. Ever heard of just letting nature take its course and thereby allowing just the other contestents to vote --- silly silly people!
I might set up my own community, or try and get my old [livejournal.com profile] a_good_story back from the dead! -- I think I started it and then couldn't be bothered with it at the time.
so yeh, I will bring it back; ya know, tell my friends, who were interested in it before, tell community_promo, etc etc.
til next time, RdFreak

Yeah, well, some things will never change- my computer blew up last week, so I have been limited to one I can hardly type on. That's my excuse, anyways.

And thanks for the reminder about Christmas, I'm trying to avoid that this year. *grins*

The anonymous aspect of the brenljidol is a good one!

bloody oath it is mate! It's the only way an online comp such as this can be played fairly.
and what do you mean "some things never change?"
surviving without a computer hey? that got to be pretty tough. I couldn't do it; you're one up on me. I will admit to any of those faults of mine.

Me taking forever to respond to comments will never change.

I have one of those eeepcs, which stopped total insanity from setting in, but it's really slow, and has the most horrible keyboard. But, it at least meant I could post my Idol entry last week, and be online a little.

you wrote: Me taking forever to respond to comments will never change.
Well I don't see why that should be a barier since you're online all the time anyway, like myself.
