I'm just shocked!

Ian died. Mum just called me at about 4 to tell me A.B. had called her. He went down hill very quickly in the end. JH MJ and I were just talking to Chris. He seems to be acting calm but I guess it's soo easy for people to be in denial! I can totally understand it.
I just can't believe it gets the best of them, when they're so young. Mum was telling me it was totally like her Mum. she was the loviest person and still had half a lifetime to go! :(
I'm going to course now!

Hey I love that song...can't remember, maybe it's even called "Come fly with me"?

So I read in a comment you left, that you are blind. (Sorry to bring it up! I read about it in a post from professor adoration...) I was just wondering, if maybe it's not a problem, if you could tell me your story? I'd love to learn more about it, you seem very computer savvy with your entries and all...

So yeah if you don't want to that's fine. =)

my story (not related to entry)

[identity profile] rdfreak.livejournal.com 2005-05-03 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
actually ya know, I hadn't thought of that song at all when using those text links. but I guess that song "Fly" from celine DDion can be appropriate to the above post! so maybe that aint too bad after all.

As for me, I use a screne reader for jaws which, like I said in that other comment, you can find out about at http://www.freedomscientific.com .. think that may help explain a lot. ya can even download the demo if ya wish Lol!
It's very easy to do a lot of standard things on the computer/internet. obviously it doesn't work with some things like graphics and stuff but yeha we can't see em anyway Lol!
I was blind from birth. totally blind but do have a tad light perception.
any other questions feel free to ask. I don't mind!
Cheers!

That must be interesting...to be blind, I mean. I'll bet your hearing is spectacular.

interesting? well I've never known any difference really so it's just "normal" for me.
Our other senses are usually heightened yes (but at the moment i have an ear infection unfortunately so my right ear is down a bit ...)

AWww, I hope your ear gets better.

(Haha, yes, it would be interesting for me if I suddenly went blind...!)

well it's a bit of a different story if you went blind later in life. There'd unfortunately be a bit of hard ajusting to do. I have friends in this situation, and like anything in their life that physically changes, it's not easy, but they do ajust and still continu to lead very independent lives!

=) Yes it would be a hard adjustment.

Sorry about your friend. It's always sad to see cancers and leukemia take people away so young. Blair's mom died at 38 of cancer, too young. He is free from his pain now though. *hugs*

[identity profile] rdfreak.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
hey thanks for that! and thanks for the spelling too Lol! woh 38 is certainly way way too young, especially for the poor children involved too :(
it's definitely a tragedty but life unfortunately. *hugs* <3333

Hey,

[identity profile] charisita.livejournal.com 2005-05-04 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
Hey Raiche,
I'm kinda at a loss for words as cancer has claimed to mmany of some of the most important people in my llife, and my mom having just gone through a historectomy because of it, and now finding out my sister has it too, although it's supposedly one of the lowest forms of cancer there is, but it's cancer nonetheless.
Som, anyway, just wanted to say, I'm sorry for what you and your family are going through having lost someone so young and full of life like that. Cancer has to be one of the cruelest diseases di there is.
But I did read about the memories you have of him, and I know they'll live on forever, as the memories I have of mmy Grandmma, Grandpa, and Auntie will, who have all died of cancer.
Until later
LIsa
PlS, or P.S, I E's messed up so please excuse the typos lol.

ah no worries. I am always making typos. yeah thanks for that. you are soo right. cancer and leuquemia are just sooo evil! I also have had a few ppl die of it lately. I mean gosh it's getting more common i feel unfortunately.
But thanks for your kind words! I'm glad to hear you Mum is doing OK now and I hope she remains healthy. and I'm sorry to hear of your sister and just hope she's alright!
