four days til summer!

She says with her heater on Lol! up full bore man!
It was only 6 degrese C this morning! ah man! that fahrenhite stuff is still gunna confuse me!
wow, 0spam.com is proving to be absolutely fabulous! I have had absolutely 0 spam in my inbox today which is exciting! but I am still finding I am manually deleting from my junk folder (not that I have to do that) but sometimes I still need to varify some of my list messages, I do not know why since I have all the lists and domains listed on the white list. but it's getting less and less. and it's getting more and more spam. last night nine, just before, eleven! I have it set for three days of staying in the junk folder before it sends out notifications to unwhite listed ppl. so when I'm away it should hopefully take care of it for me! and I can look forward to a no-spam zone!
Went to docs to get my ears emptied out again this morning. then i waited as Mum also had an appointment then, (I saw the nurse not the doctor), on the way out, doctor Anderson wished me a good time in US and that I tell em all about it when I get back and take care! She's so lovely! they're all so friendly and they all love Heartly! the nurse Irene is always talking to her before me and I give her grief about it. This morning as she was sarrindging my ears I sighed and said "I wish I could do this myself" and she said "you wouldn't be allowed, and besides how else am I going to see my dog! don't be selfish!" Lol hahahaha ah dear, seem to be going once a fortnight lately; no wonder I am starting to feel like i live there! Lol
Also, I am not taking my mobile to the US. I am getting a calling card from Optus, so I call family and it goes to my account. am getting set up with that tomorrow.

Now, last year some time, I wanted to subscribe to a baby pregnancy thinggy so it can tell me month to month what goes on! but, instead of getting off the list, I had just been deleting them and not reading them since I couldn't find any of my specific info. could only find the links to the popular pages on the site. so .. literally just then I opened up an email, went down and read this:
Hello from BabyCentre!

Your baby may be working on walking this month, holding on to whatever she can to help her cruise through the house. To keep her safe, make sure that you secure freestanding bookshelves, lamps, and other unstable furniture that might tumble when she grabs it. Leave her feet bare too -- that'll help her keep her balance as she takes those first stumbling steps. And of course, stay close by to lend a helping hand. Remember, babies have their own individual timetables; at this age, some babies will begin to do things much earlier or later than others.

He's not naughty -- he's a baby
As your baby starts asserting himself, you may be surprised by some of his behaviour. He may know what "no" means yet still do something forbidden over and over again, all the time looking over his shoulder to see how you'll react. Punishments and anger do little good at this age, although distracting him often works. He can't yet 'behave' as he's too busy experimenting. Try suggesting something he can do, like "give me that, please" or offering a favourite toy. Praising things your baby does that you do like makes it more likely he will do them again. Saving the "no" for genuinely dangerous activities gives it more power -- he will know you mean it!

Beyond baby food
Your baby is probably branching out into lumpier foods and bite-size pieces -- depending, of course, on how many teeth he has and his personal palate. For the same reasons you avoided them when you were pregnant, it's best not give a baby of this age soft-cooked egg yolk, unpasteurised soft cheese or ready meals. Other things babies don't need are tea, coffee, nuts, crisps, or sugary drinks.

Quick tip: Childproofing made easy

I don't understand fahrenheit at all. I live in Canada and we go by celcius too. You can find converters on google though. That's what I used while I was in the states. Otherwise I was completely lost!
Where in the US are you going?

I am most painfully excited. Thank God i'm going to the lake so I will ahve somethign to occupy my restless mind; namely, trying to keep Joe, Derek and Michael from making me go crazy. Because yes, they're all coming, and Derek's little sister isn't coming either. Oh nooo.

I get confused with the whole celsious thing. lol

[identity profile] rdfreak.livejournal.com 2005-06-22 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
ah well welcome to my world! Lol :) hahaha

[identity profile] puppybraille.livejournal.com 2005-06-22 12:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know if this helps, but try this if you want to figure out the rough idea of temperature:
If you've got a fahrenheit temp, subtract 32, then divide by 2.
If celcius, multiply by 2, and add 32.
Really, for the most accurate, you multiply or divide by 1.8, but if you're not a fan of math and/or don't have a calculator, this is the best way to do it.

[identity profile] rdfreak.livejournal.com 2005-06-22 10:23 pm (UTC)(link)
thanks for that. yes I've heard of similar workings. :) *hugs*
