14 hours til I leave! :)

wow, 13 hours and 40 mins to be exact! I am just sooo excited! I hope I get to sleep tonight. but then I can always sleep, or try too, on the plane!
My dream of going to the US, I've had when I was little, has finally come true! that's soo cool! :) I am sooo happy now cos we went to parents for tea, and dad cooked his great spaghetti! i tell him I honestly don't know his trick, but it's just the bestest ever! Mum is the queen of the rest but not dad's spaghetti! Lol! Mum also cut my fringe and back of hair a bit. and dad showed me how to put the batery in my MD (the rechargible one). yeah! so I will get to US and charge it up but in the meantime I have the double A bateries I will be recording with! I am going to use the American power supply while there, and when i get back, try to bend the pins and hope for the correct vultige. Dad reckons as much anyway (him being the electrition and all)! so I'm all set to go with my Minidisc! I am actually just about to go and encode my experimental recordings I just did before!
Gerry Springer is on Parkinson now so am going to watch that! Nan is watching it now. she is staying over tonight, then Mum and dad will pick us up and we'll go to the airport early tomorrow morning. I convinced ang to come, then she backed out as she said she's going out after babysitting tonight. she said she may still come, but won't give my hopes up!
Well, I'm off! See you in America sweet journal! oh, doesn't look like my calling card has arrived so will have to get Dad to sort that out for me. could try call optus tomorrow but don't think they'll open early on a Sunday morning!
I honestly can't believe this right now!
Til Next Time, RdFreak

power supplies

If you plug a US power supply into an Australian wall outlet it will go bang. Australia is 240V and US is 110V not to mention the frequency in the US is 60hz whereas it is 50hz here. You can not plug a US power supply into Australian wall socket unless it is a universal power supply. What brand of MD is this? I use the power supply from a USB powered hub to power mine.

I think the best thing I have seen to this famous problem is a recent Travelocity commercial where they have this Gnome as a spokesperson answering questions about traveling (and how Travelocity has the best deals of course) and then he answers questions about a rumor that American appliances don't work in other countries as to which he answers "Get a Life" and then plugs in a device which explodes!! His famous last quote being "Am I going to die?"
