I love my music!

Well my trippletalk speaker keeps dropping and now it sounds really basy, woops!
I just got back from writing group with S, J, K and L. Twas good. I wrote about something (which I will prob put in here sometime) that was based on myself and it got me all depressed. Then I livened up as J and I were chatting and laughing on the way home from Syndil.
I have always been way too proud of my music collection than I have admitted to anyone and my journal. I'm into such a variety now and I love it! course now that I've got a lot of it on puter, it's always a lot more accessable. I'm not use to it and it's great! course I still love the country that I( grew up with. was sitting here, playing some Willie Nelson and getting lost in emotion (as certain songs do to me. In fact just about any of my music will do it to me). it followed by my playing some other music; bewitched (which I hadn't heard in years) and all these memories were flooding to me. Good, bad, funny, sad - all with different songs! Words can't describe how proud I am of my music and what it can do to me sometimes!
It gets me sooo emotional sometimes, not necessarily in a bad way but I feel like crying any way!
And again, it's even better now that I got everything in one place. I no longer have to go to my shelf and sift through finding the CD I am in the mood for - it's all there! and tonight was just a minny example of what having all (well half at the moment) of my music there in one place will do to me!
Why does music do this? I can honestly say it is amazing that it was even invented.
actually going on to a current train of thought, I was just thinking the other day, I just wonder what makes "scarey music" sound scarey to us? how do "they" (anyone) know what makes the particular emotion for us?
Now, I guess what starts all my emotions in music is the key changes still, and country (namely Willie Nelson tonight) has a lot of them! I am not sure why/how key changes affect me like they do but they always have. Even on my tapes when I was 3 I was singing to inflict key changy things!
I still can't express everything music does to me sometimes!
anyway going back, it is times like this when I'm probably way too proud of my vast music collection and going to show it off to others when it's all up here! (There are only about two or three albumns I don't care for. I can't say I like every single song on every albumn but mostly I do).
There's music I hear on the old radio stations still that capture me and i don't own. I use to then straight away go to Napster and get them, but since all the contraversy, I really don't download a lot now! I've been greatful to have access from friends, and they must think I'm mad sometimes when I go on about how greatful I am to them for having a particular song or entire albumn. I feel they're the best thing since sliced bread when I find they have my music - stuff that perhaps I haven't listened to for years and even had forgotten about!
Guess I thought I'd capture the feeling (though again, I don't think words will do it). just .. memories memories memories in music music music - my music, my artists - country, rock, pop, ballads - I love a lot of it!
I never go on music rants.
I guess I may go to bed now!
Til next Time, RdFreak
:edit: I find I don't care for much of today's music at all! the more time goes on, the less stuff released I like. interesting! the golden oldies I guess!

good to hear u mention the great man of the guitar he's one of my bigest influences of the old six string. Country in particular has so many emotions flowing through it.

yep I was brought up on him. Dad and I went to see the highway men when they were out here once! I've always been fascinated with his voice! :)

I can agree with you about current music. But then again, my excuse could be that I'm just getting old and unhip at 41 years old. LOL! But see, even when I was younger I wasn't one who cared what was in fashion. Musically I find I've always been drawn to the novel and unusual. I admired certain artists for just doing stuff that nobody else had done before or to push the limits a bit, and not because they had hit singles falling off every album. Then again, I've always ben a more album rock person and less a top 40 one, and then my taste goes out beyond stuff you hear on commercial radio. Like you, I find I like things that were done before my time. I like to show off my music collection by making wonderfully weird music tapes and making copies and sending them to people. Yeah, I still work with cassettes and physical CDs, which are all stored in those books now instead of the plastic cases. I have downloaded a lot from some of the music share blogs I found, but that all gets burned to MP3 CD so I can listen to it away from the computer, since all of us share this machine and honestly, the little speakers that came with this Sony are pretty crappy for listening to music. They're fine for books or old radio, but the music lacks any bass to speak of. I might investigate new speakers for this beast once I have the available dough, but I'm also saving up for a Mac so I can finally ahve my own computer with its own built-in speech, so I don't avhe to borrow anybody's screen reader or shell out extra bucks for accessibility.
P.s. I don't know much about Willie Nelson although I can recognize his voice and other classic country artists. Have you heard his reggae album? If you haven't, the format works, as it sounds like he took country songs and set them to reggae arrangements. It sounds like it wouldn't work but I think the two styles can compliment each other when done right.

wow, nope haven't heard it. but Dad says he's got more of his albumns for me to hear so maybe I'll get too! wow, let me know what the speech is like with the mack. built in speech sure does sound heaps better! :)

Well, it may be quite a while before I get the mac, as I'll need $1099.00 US plus whatever else for accessories if possible, and I ahve all of $150.00 US dollars saved for the moment. If you know Flashmasterh on here, you migh want to give her a shout, or go to the Screenless Switchers podcast at www.screenlessswitchers.com I think, and subscribe. I haven't heard much of these, so I'm no sure if they demonstrate the speech, but you can follow htem as they learn to use the Mac and its built-in accessibility features.
