real update I spose

So after a little over a week, I feel I should update properly!
First of all, I really don't like this new update layout. I hadn't known a thing about the change til a few days ago! Now it seems I can not post to communities from the general post page. it doesn't list the communities in the combo box. so instead, I found i have to go to the individual community profiles and do it from there. yep it sucks! .. actually found this out only yesterday when I, in somewhat crazy desperation, wrote to the Melb community about my wanting a home-made gingerbread house this year, (not to break my December tradition)! Yep, i decided i am no longer going to put up with the losey plain factory-made ones, decorated with the even more losy cheap-arse icing, chocolate and other lollies. Practically straight away, _disi_ came to my rescue! :) so of course, that means meeting up next Thursday too which will be awesome!
Well, after much frustration and heartache, it no longer seems likely I'll be able to head over to the U.K in January. If I had put my savings plan into affect earlier, I think I could have done it quite nicely, but nooo! I didn't think of it then, did i? I'm so mad about that! not to mention prices are way expensive during peak period! .. ah well, next time I guess! maybe if I get this job, I'll be able to save a lot quicker - in fact, I know I would!
Didn't end up doing much chrissy shopping last Sunday - in fact didn't do any. twas way too hot. but I think i'll be going today, with Nan probably. -- I am so tired hence my not making much sense and my double-talking. I woke early so got up to enter a couple more anagrams into the zone which I thought of over night. and don't want to sleep now but am still tired. I find that if I'm awake early I'll tend to have a little dose later, so maybe it's what my body is crying out for!
hmm think that's about all. haven't done too much this week.

You can post to communities.. it's the first drop down menu... it will say "Post as" and then "Post to"

Well, the old page I could find the menu fine, but I looked high and low for it yesterday. it's possible my stupid screen reader is not picking it up now for whatever reason *grrr. i'll look again.

Ahh! You use Jaws too? My friend in Canada uses Jaws. Whenever he talks about it I always get the theme song from the jaws movie stuck in my head.

Sweet! Yeah, Darren and I don't talk very much. But we do catch up emails every so often. We actually met on a swearing community. He makes me laugh heaps!

OK I know this was ages ago, but I've been busy and not reading friends page but...um, there's actually a swearing community??? Interesting...I treied searching for it, but search didn't produce in anything...I'm probablly doing something wrong, or maybe it's my tiredness, after all it is 2:18 AM and I haven't slept much since friday, yet although I'm tired I don't feel like sleeping yet...anyway, still, swearing comunity, sounds interesting.

BTW, I actually prefer this new layout for the update page.
P.S Rachel, real shame you can't come here to the UK again, maybe I should come over there to AAustralia..I know I promissed I would and I really want to, so I will at some point soon.

Lol IK, ya should know by now that there's a community for just about anything on LJ! Lol!
and yep I was so mad I couldn't go to U.K, but I don't think I could cut it with the amount of money. I plan to come back soon though. and yes, you still need to come over here! :)
