khoath I find out that I actually needed to go make the other sound card default in audio devices through control pannel! my gosh!
the mic volume doesn't seem too loud even though it's at 100%, but I since remembered that boosh option so, will have to turn that on then think about doin some net broadcasting again which I would be set up to do now I have all my CDs on puter.

:edit: P.S. Neighbours isn't on, wah! it finished friday with a bang (literally!) Todie got shot by stupid guy. he's not dead, as far as we know. he better not die.
P.P.S.internet_king informed me that now frank can inform of comment replies so I'm off to set that up. I knew it was going to happen; didn't know when.
