drowning in potterness

oh my, he is all over my friends page. He is everywhere! I don't care!
B already finished it, but she assured me she wasn't going to read it with me just sitting around doing nothing, and she didn't. She read the conclusion while I was finishing listening to "SEVEN LITTLE AUSTRALIANS" yesterday. I kept asking people, before they got their hands on it, if Harry was going to die, or get with Herimone or Jinny? or perhaps, in a twisted lot of events, Ron? but hey I dunno!
I am still only halfway through the third book, and it's been that way for years.
as I was just telling J, I'm not a huge fan of this, because of the violence. I love the innocent magic that goes on, but give me Enid Blyton any day, cos she has the magic but none of that other ridiculous bloody vilence.
so the idea of Hogwarts school does appeal to me, and I love all the ghostly characters and moving stairs and talking pictures, I do! but just give me adventures surrounding that only!
had a good long chat to J on skype before; was fabuliso to catch up!
Dirk's gone to Daniel's and B's asleep again; which is fine; I don't mind catching up on the puter.
Nothing is open Sundays so think it will be a quiet one.
yesterday we went to burgerKing (also known as Hungry Jacks) in Aus, so that was good to compare; not much different, except they have hot brownies for dessert, not that I had any; was too full!
tomorrow B and I will be off to city and having a "girls day out". that will be nice.
Last night B cooked a great pizza. We also had a really nice chat about things, not that we haven't up til that point, but it was nice to have our girly chat! She says she's not looking forward to me going on Wednesday, but I tell her I'll be back, even next year, I'm deadly sure of it.
Been calling my parents every day on skypeout; probably worse than having me home, Lol! them being protective like hearing from me really. called Nan last Thursday night.
OK about all me thinks.
may Harry Potter give Dudley what's been comin to him; that's my only wish! Lol
til next time, RdFreak

I've only read the first 3 Harry Potter books too and keep meaning to read the other ones but just have never got round to it.

I used to like the Enid blyton books and read absolutely loads of them. They were so cool. My favourite ones were the mallory towers books and the far away tree ones.

yeh, I definitely plan on getting around to reading/listening to all the books eventually! :) glad I'm not the only one who's still up to the third book though Lol
yeh, never read any of Malery towers, but that's about all, so need to try and get my paws/eyes on some :)

I'm with you on the HP thing! I've never read any of them, and while I would probably like reading them, I have no desire to start. There are too many other good books out there waiting to be read! I love Enid Blyton too, and have quite the collection if you want text copies. Sounds like you are having a great time! Need to chat to you, so will send an Email soon!
