LJ Idol Season5 (application)
So it's come around again. I am going to participate in
therealljidol this season, and I feel, unlike the last one (my first), I may last longer, because, I feel a little bit more with it as far as my writing style goes.
In general, my writing style has been up and down like a rollercoaster.
i use to absolutely love writing. would sit down for hours as a kid with my perkins braille machine in between my legs, and bump out dozens of pages. Ideas would just flow to me so nnatural without much effort.
Then, I had to change writing instruments to computer for school, and some how, it wasn't the same any more. I lost it all. -- One of my future creative writing teachers from CAE suggested this to me; that because I had been so use to writing stories on my braille machine, all of a sudden, when I changed, it was sort of like writing a new language; even though I knew both fluently, it was just that swap from one to the other. we think.
So ever since the initial swap, i haven't been as good, but I've certainly tried, and i do think I'm improving to that top quality standard I was all those years ago.
so, we'll see how it goes.
I do hope there's no cheating, and this game is played by everyone with honesty.
but all the same, it's for me; to prove that I can be a confident writer again.
