The Real LJ Idol - season 5 - Topic 0 - introduction

so who is this rdfreak person, I hear you ask. Well, simple, sort of.
Firstly, this very unique nickname of mine, which i now use everywhere online, was thought of in 2003 with a little help from a long-standing internet friend of mine. The "RD" are the initials of my first and middle names, "Rachel dianne", then the "freak" part kind-of rhymes with my sir name "keyte", hence, "RdFreak" was born.
Outside of the vertual world we call the "internet":
the name's Rachel,
The game is reading, writing, cooking, eating, playing and listening to music (including singing), travelling (with or without money), and, just generally trrying to have fun in life.
The age is 29,
The zodiac sign is aries, (not that I am into that sorta thing.)
The occupation is a telephonist for the ANZ bank.
The hours are part-time, but hoping to upgrade to fulltime soon.

I lived with my parents and my sister for the first 22 years of my life. Then I moved a couple of suburbs away into a lovely two bedroom unit with my wonderful guide dog Heartly. She is a black lab, and she turned 10 a few months ago. I got her when she was eighteen months old, and ever since then, she has worked like a charm! she is my constant companion, and When she's not working, she's a playmate, always ready to play "hide-and-seek.

My prize possession would have to be my computer, (I hate to admit). The amount of time i spend on the internet could probably be summed up by some as "scarey", but, I am no-where near as obsessed with it as i use to be. I definitely do socialize on here probably as much as in the real world though. I've indeed accumulated quite a number of overseas friends.
In the past couple of years, I've been to the U.K twice and to germany and the U.S for the first time. They were amazing experiences, especially having travelled on my own.
Next March, I am taking off to dubai for a week, as my Dad is over there working. -- after this, i will go on to the U.K and meet up with my many friends there.

I love people. I absolutely live for my friends. I am a very easy-going person, however, I tend to have pretty high expectations of my friends. This is because of my strong morrals and values, and I like my friends to be able to relate to me as much as they can.
Lately I think it's fair to say I can be a little too open and trusting, and I've got to watch that for sure.
I really do not enjoy conflict and will try and avoid it at all costs, however, I will treat individuals exactly how they treat me.
As quoted in my LJ user profile, I am not perfect, and have never claimed to be. Unlike a lot of people I know, I will be one of the first to admit this.

right, bingo, that's me. Am looking forward to what i can churn out in [livejournal.com profile] therealljidol this time around.

Until next time, RdFreak

You and I share a lot of the same hobbies (never met a book I didn't like and I can't seem to give them away so I'm drowning in them; my obituary will probably read "a large stack of books collapsed on her head").

I have a service dog; she's eight years old and unfortunately almost ready for retirement. The younger gal, Daisy, isn't quite ready for public use yet. She's still too much of a puppy.

I'm more like a turtle; I'm okay as long as you don't poke too hard or it hits the shell, but if you start sticking things in the holes, I'm gonna snap and bite :D

Pleased to meet you, good luck!
