Kidney function improving

Well Dad and I walked to the Bellbird consulting rooms; it's such a nice day and closer than I thought it was.
My ultrasound came back fine though he said my Kidneys look a bit paler than normal. I'm not leaking protein or blood which is a good sign. -- He said, to really be able to look at them properly, he'd need to do a biopsy which he doesn't think is necessary at this stage as the Kidney function has improved slightly since last week. He's put it down to perhaps a reaction/alergy to an infection/virus that I may have had. He seemed pretty optamistic that I'll only improve from here but he wants to see me in another month along with a blood test a few days before.
So this is good news for now. Again, He's not going to put me through a biopsy at this stage if it's only going to give the same results; however, I'd have to have one if they weren't improving.
As I say, i certainly feel a lot better in myself.
Then dad and i had a coffee/hot chocolate back at the Mackers near here and had a big conversation about Vegetarianism. It's amazing how much better i feel when I don't have meat.
til Next Time, RdFreak

What a relief!

Hi, Rachel! What a relief to read here that your kidney function is improving, and that the doctor said the problems were caused by an allergy or a virus in the first place. Here's hoping your kidneys will continue to improve! As for being a vegetarian, if you feel happier not eating meat, that's your choice, as long as yuo make sure you have a balanced diet once you go completely meat-free. But, please, don't turn into one of those vegetarians who try to convert others to vegetarianism!

Lol thanks Clare.
And you're not serious are you? Of course I wouldn't. I'm doing this for my health, and as I've said before, I wouldn't be going completely this way; don't think I could handle that. Would go off at christmas and special occasions.

I didn't think you'd want to convert us all to vegetarianism, I don't think of yuou as that kind of person, but I know of vegetarians who do want the whole world to become vegetarians like them, that's why I wanted to be sure you wouldn't. (Big sigh of relief, and big friendly smile).

It's all good. :)
Yeh i also have known of people who have tried converting too.
I never thought I'd be someone who would convert, but as I've mentioned, I've just noticed that when I eat this way, I feel a lot better physically. :)
