No Writers Block
I wanted to do a writers block entry, but don't much like the one for today, so I am instead going to reflect on a prank myself and C (who is no longer in my life) did about fifteen years ago, because for some reason, it entered my head last night.
So as I say, it was about fifteen or so years ago, when myself and the group of blindies i associated with seemed obsessed with conferencing (telephone three-ways). But this particular time, it was only him (C who I no longer usually even like talking about) and I on the phone. I guess we'd decided we were bored and needed to perform yet another prank to entertain us for the evening. So, I put him on hold and called 132301 (I think it was - which was a number to be able to check the status on someone's line, and one could speak to an operator if they needed too). and meanwhile he put my line on hold and did the same. Then we conferenced them together, so it was myself, him plus the two telstra lines on the phone. We chose the option to speak to an operator on both lines, and sure enough, we got:
line one: "hello, welcome to telstra;
Line 2: Hello, welcome to telstra:
Line one: Is that you Karly?
Line two: Yes it is Jill; what's this?
Line one: I think someone is playing a prank.
Both lines hang up angrily.
Next thing, C gets a call from his telstra lady. i was worried I'd also get a call, but I didn't.
I guess we thought it was funny at the time! :)
(note that names have been changed as I don't remember the actual real names of the telstra ladies now).
In other news, i cooked an entire chicken on Sunday; I was sooo pleased! it worked! mon and Kaz were there and shouted minimal instructions, but I am now confident enough to do it in future, which i will doo.
Mum and dad are turning their kitchen upside down once more as Dad lays the new tiles, so I guess it's an excuse to invite them over one night and show off my skills! -- I could do lamb as well though.
I then went back to mon's for the night. We three went out to that thai restaurant again; nice as! We ordered one of each entree.
Kaz drove me home Monday afo. Yesterday I went into VA to get help on some position description answering; I did benefit from it greatly. I also met a couple of new people which is always fun.
I now don't have to go in there til next tuesday and next wednesday; Amy will be here then, but she said she doesn't mind staying here doing her own thing; or she may like to stay on with James B; but I'll put that to her when she calls me.
That's bout all for now I's thinks.
Til Next Time, RdFreak
P.S. oh, this morning (about 4) Joy was whining a bit. turns out she had Diarrhoea outside; a rare occurrence for her! She had it once after that; will just have to keep more of an eye on her today.
