cooling off

Just sat out side on the veranda with Heartly for a while. She was on my lap for a while then she went to go in the sun. She knows when I'm upset - she's quite the lovable dog.
So yeah cooling off, away from the net. was going to go for a walk but then it started to spit. then it stopped now it's sunny again and really nice. and there's no-one about.
I wish I had wireless; then all'd be right with the world; I think! I could do my stupid internet living outside! Lol!
I just changed my previous entry to private, yeah go me! Sometimes I feel it's best.
I feel a mixture now of my above anger and sadness to feeling peaceful and relaxed. It's weird! Maybe it's the zoloft, or not taking it at same time lately; who knows?! A combination of a lot of things.
I was thinking before when it rains I may try and catch some of my own water, like a tank kinda format. I'd like to have a tank. I am very funny when it comes to using wather now. I use it, but make sure i don't waste it at all.
In happier news (of late) I got myself rekindelled with french_creek properly yesterday. we had an awesome chat just like the good old times. I told her I thought I'd lost her. am sooo glad though that we're talking properly again! She was indeed my first online friend I made, - at least who wasn't just an aquaintence.
Nan is coming over again tomorrow. I could do with the company. think I've been very isolated lately; that's probably half my problem as well! I need to catch up with ppl more here. I did rewrite to teresa yesterday and also amanda A sent me a message about a christmas party she's planning. that'd be kinda cool to go meet her again and all her friends!
I think I will go in this week and see what's going on at Travellers Aid. and I got to do my application for my course.
Oh I heard from waynette. I'd been meaning to write to her but I wrote a kinda long email to her. It made me think of convention obviously. but she was such a lovely person. i do hope we get to catch up again somehow!
I will certainly never forget my first trip to the US. I am pretty sure, when it all comes down to it, my first UK trip will be just as special! I certainly can't wait to meet everyone! :)

Oh yeah, some ppl don't update any more and others are full of memes. I do memes but I cut them and do them all in one go so I don't clutter up pages. I use my LJ for my own person journal. I understand not everyone does, and there's no right or wrong way of using LJ but I guess it comes down to how I personally view LJ. May just mean I might cut some ppl again.

bird flu

I am currently watching 60 minutes, and the first story was about Bird flu, and how it's so close to home now - in asia and all that, which is like next-door to us! It's really scarey stuff! I mean they did this ficticious report where they said that thousands are dying and there is so much more crime in Sydney because half of the cops have been killed. and then they said, though it was all fiction, it is certainly no fantasy and that's how they predict it could be.
they reckon if it came here, it could kill 2 million or so, and the world wouldn't be the same.
and they were also talking about how pigs in Asia had got this disease which spread to humans from flying fox's droppings, from mangos.
man it's all so scarey! they're saying if an outbreak of birdflu happened here, we'd be better off isolating ourselves; not going into public. that's scarey! I mean it's unavoidable these days if we wanna eat and stuff! *brrr man as if we haven't constantly got more to worry about!
