OK time to get with it
Mar. 14th, 2006 09:45 amSo I started off by a brisk walk with Heartly around the block this morning! I was awake at 7, reading my LJ page and thinking bout my usual call and decided to start off my motivation trip Tuesday thing by getting up, dressed, taking Heartly out then before I feed her will take her for walk (I've done this once or twice before inspired by Nan). So that's what i did. She tried to turn herself around a few times to start with cos she knows she usually gets food at first, but she was OK after a while. Passing the lights I was tempted to cross the road and get an early-morning crasont (I may try this soon; they may have chocolate ones at that bakery who knows?! :) then of course on the corner she did her usual trying to take me into Mackers! she has always done this with every single mackers we pass! Then, we went home. she walked up my steps so enthused (wonder why) that she bashed me into my sun blinds that are up but that's OK. I keep forgetting they're there.
then we went in, I fed her, made my LD call then checked email for a bit until it was 9. I called J who called me while I was away. turns out that the holidays have started. I had heard mention this. it's a premature thing cos of the commonwealth games (wow first time I made mention to them in me LJ :) anyway so she suggested I email my teachers and they may get back sooner rather than later. so I did. Explained I was back, asked them about the first writing task I assumed was assigned during the introductry session 27th of feb! that was the only class I missed! I am not sure why or how I thought I missed the online chat! guess they may have accidently told me wrong dates last year during enrolling. that's OK was pleased to know that! I also have the url for the new vertual campus! that sounds exciting! I was told that we were given the package of notes a couple weeks before it started. I note I did get a package from CAE but haven't been able to go through it yet. lazy little me could scan it! I know there'd be the class notes for the year and also details about my log in name and password. Now hoping it will work with the web chat! I asked them in the email if they could email me the notes as was discussed last year? if not, no biggy, that's what I got my scanner for I guess! I also asked what books I need to be getting from the library or even getting V to help with? I guessed from the first newsletter we have to read something?
no doubt I will find that out!
so no msn for me still today anyway! I can't do much til they get back to me, if they can before the holidays are up? but at least I've made a start! and while I'm on a roll, I may call and get the number for WISE job agency. I could start going there to find something part time to ensure my sanity over this year.
off to listen to Neil now. Might learn something!

toonheads LJ about topspeed last night just before bed so I decided to go and see what it was about. downloaded it, installed it. very nicely done I must say! very very thorough! and these games are free? I am not good at detecting languages but it seems that these people are more thorour with their work in these games. the first thing I noticed was the responsiveness! seemed a lot better than the games I've played so far! anyway we could even assign our own keys to game controls! this is good and bad cos I didn't know what to assign for what. I didn't understand a couple of the promts either. but my accent-recognition is damn terrible! so I attempted to play a game. it wouldn't stop! I didn't know what i was doing even though I read the instructions! anyway I beeped the horn by pressing the chosen control enter!
after mucking around unsuccessfully with that for a while I drifted off to sleep with LJ friends page. then this game carried on in my ddream! It was vivid actually and I was only reminded of it once I'd submitted this entry and recieved an email from gametalk. the spoilerspace had sais "jump" and I remember now that I dreamt that I had to jump by using control. the sounds were even the same but I had to jump. cars don't jump. Then I had a joystick and I was pressing the button in on the end of the stick and the horm beeped at me. was so responsive, just like it was last night when pressing enter.
