I watched quite a sad documentary last night on channel 9. It was from Australia though the stories were american. I watched it cos I heard that there was going to be a story about a baby born with two heads, but that's apparently on next week. Last night, the main story was about this really really obese man (750 pounds - 3 hundred and something kilos). Anyway he couldn't walk or sit up or roll over or anything. He'd been bed-ridden for seven years! His wife and sister lived with him in a rented flat (I think it was) but they got evicted so he had to go in an ambulence to Ohio to a nursing home for obese people while his wife and sister tried to find another home. anyway this home also rehabilitated these people but unfortunately this guy John died after a while from an infection he caught. he already had diabetes and a bad heart (maybe obviously). he was only 39. course it made me sad to hear of it. and so an older guy who friended him really was motivated to help himself recover after that. It's so sad! apparently he use to cook and everything. In fact he was cooking when his knees buckled from under him and that's when he went down (literally). apparently he wwould get everything brought to him in bed and he would still cook. don't know how obviously without appliances. maybe he just got everything ready for the oven.
anyway it's just so sad! I honestly don't know how anyone could get that big, even from a kid! I mean surely you'd say to yourself after a while "gee, I'm 200 K (or 400 pounds) maybe something is wrong here??) I know that some people have an actual disease which makes it hard but .. I don't think so in this case, they didn't say!
and btw in other news a few days ago I arranged all my IE favourites in different submenues.
also I just came back from walking Heartly and course feeding her.

so there goes the umteenth time when I've written a post and forgotten to select the right community! The BB one has since been transferred to the correct community! I was surprised when [livejournal.com profile] khoath posted a reply to my BigBro question. I thought yet another community of mine he has joined! Lol hahaha
And btw speaking of thoughts, I have recently learnt that you don't use quotation marks when someone is just thinking something. I did not know that! and I also just learnt that the Australian way of doing dialogue is not with " (shift and apostrophe for all the blindies) but just the ' (apostrophe on it's own). I can't believe I hadn't known that before)
I just watched doctor phil which was very sad. This woman had her 16 year old daughter kidnapped and killed by her ex-boyfriend who was out on bail after having kidnapped the mother at gunpoint. Something was wrong with that system, just the same bad mistakes that's made here.
Nan just arrived. i might get her to look over that stupid book that's not scanning properly with those few pages.
