a fan-bloody-tastic LJ idea
Apr. 11th, 2006 07:57 pmso I just saw the best idea in a community (STs); someone actually put their location into the field there. Now I think that is damn brilliant for communities as ppl are from everywhere! and, i may suggest it to all my communities in time Lol!
In other news, I did end up rocking up to that advocacy place today for a volunteer interview. I wasn't planning on it but I did get a call about 10.30 and I said I could be there in about an hour which was the case. it may have been over an hour slightly but I had a bit of problem at Ringwood station but I happily found my own way out of it and got to the familiar lights from yesterday. then I just found the Street, wandered up it and this lovely school girl (I think she was) ended up showing me where 17 actually was with my prompts. So it was .. I dunno .. kind of an isolated place I thought. anyway she explained what it was all about and she was keen to have me help out there if I wanted, so said that I probably would (though I wanted to stay away from the disability scene now but ah well will see how it goes). so going back next week for a second kinda session with my dodgy braillenote! yes I need my m-power! Everyone seemed nice enough though!
anyway so after that I walked back and was near to station street when this lady stopped and asked me if my dog's name was Danell! she has puppy-raised one with that name who was black. anyway she went on to say she'd seen me before once on the train and I got off at Blacky. then she said she was going there and would I like a lift! and since she puppy-raised, I guess I knew she'd be OK! Lol so we did and we were talking about her guide dog experience. and she dropped me out the front here so I was home. saved a train trip and a bus ride/walk home. It was a nice day though but we did get our exercise cos it was a big walk from the station to that place.
Then I just spent the rest of the day listening to neighbours eps and watching judge Judy! I guess I finished everything but got to continue my scanning. been a bit slack there! got tomorrow free but just then shel called and asked if I wanted to do lunch there thursday so I guess I will then sometime friday we're all leaving for Rhy.
yeah! three days til good Friday!
Five days til easter and my birthday (I had originally put my new age in but I promptly took it out as I didn't need to be prematurely reminded of it! :)Twelve days til pancake parlour with little friends and also BigBrother starting! :)
and six months (give or take a few weeks til the UK :) nah as I say really I won't be starting any official count down til I get crackin with some bookins! I am already excited though naturally! I'm bad, I'm terrible! Only been back here for a month and 7 days! (feels like longer though now!) but at least bigBrother will keep me on the edge of my seat til next trip! :) or near then! :)
