I'm back! :)
Apr. 30th, 2006 03:44 pmSo I decided to motivate myself with the piano again! Like get into a pattern again of learning and trying to figure out songs from memory as well! I've still got a lot of books on top of the piano so as was my decision long ago, I thought I'd try all the exercises in the little book I've got (of basic both hand stuff) before I relearn that Bathoven. And then I will prob still go back and see if B will have me again but not before I actually start from basics again and work up again! I actually remember a lot of the braille music too! there's a few of the repeat signs I forget but have the trusty Read singy and play list at the back to look over for any sign.
I just got all excited cos I played a little folk tune from right-handed music and i put a left-hand to it which some how I figured out myself! and the harmony worked well and it amazed me cos I seem to have a lot of trouble with figuring out how to harmonize notes well, but lately I've found myself humming a lot of harmonyss cos I always wanted to sound good with them, so I decided to try and play what I was thinking and it worked! wow, I think I'm getting better, or something! so yeah I will set time every day to try a folk tune, then do a two hand exercise from that other book and keep trying to get my fingers and brain around different chords! so yeah for the piano and hopefully heaps of time to be able to improve so I can play anything i want by the time I have me grandkids!
In other news am doing more Neighbours marathons. am up to November 2002. Drew died not long ago! I thought I remembered everyone saying he died from a car crash but yesterday I found out it was from falling from a horse! I wish I had a ramsay street, or, maybe not! sometimes everyone is all nice and close for comfort.
Also am going to parents for apricot chicken later. Mum called before and said she'd pick me up as the weather has been pretty kinda dull all day!
I'm going to J's funeral tomorrow with Mum and A (who are going in the same car).
