Current consumption: black forest chocolate :)
So I've got a directory on this here puter called "lostfile" which contains a whole lot of folders with weird names like "dir" followed by a number. This directory was recovered after Dad and I used the recovery program after my having to reinstall windows (because of that zone idiot where I consequently lost the majority of my audio collection). anyway, I had previously deleted random windows files left over from the past installs, so when I went into it last night, there were still five or six of these "dir" folders containing all my comedy files! Although all the file names are still there, only half of them work. the other half either don't play at all, play parts or all of random songs (and other random old audio files) or tries desperately to play something but, alas, not to be!
but I was pleased that some of the comedy seems in tact still! I'm still deeply disappointed about my other files that won't work (and doubt I'd ever be able to get again), and let's not even mention my few gigs worth of TV and movie themes I so proudly had!
I have also been burning stuff on to CDs, but it's a painful process. I wish I had a DVD burner!
I also deleted my attachment folder yesterday. all these random files appear as the result of strange emails. 60 meg I got rid of. And while i remembered to keep a few files (my resume and a students story I'm to critique), I very annoyingly forgot a few others that I needed. like my class work book. so had to email teacher and ask her to send it to me again! *grrr
but I have had a full disc not too long ago and balloons that kept on warning me of it coming up again, so this cleanup should help while I download more of the neighbours eppisodes and other random files I hope to find to download again.
maybe while my puter has got a bit of space now I should do a defrag! it's strange! it requires space to do that?! maybe i get it! who knows! I don't get computers!

Well, as it's a sunny day today I thought we'd go to the park near the creek. but it didn't happen. Either I forget where it exactly is, or people were doing work near and/or around there. So, I thought that I'd try and see it on my way back since my right eye has a tad more sight out of the corner. So, I ended up walking to Laburnum street, turned left and just walked up there to see what was install for me. C had told me there was a computer shop up there amongst other things. I crossed over three streets and found myself at Laburnum station! I could hear those talking box thinggys but I couldn't find out how to get on to the platform. I did enjoy my walk up the ramp to a fence though! :) It's fun exploring things but a little bit harder with a dog. Cos with the cane at least ya can feel the fence or whatever, or shoreline. With a dog, I am left to walk slowly beside the object or rail or whatever, dragging my feet and pulling the harness back and forth (as I feel my surroundings and then walk a little further!) but that's alright. A guy told me where the platform was after a bit but I didn't bother going to find it! Then as the station was a fair way up, I decided just to walk back, and I didn't spot the damn park/track on the way back! I'll have to ask someone again! I found it straight away before but that was yonks ago.
now it looks as though it's clouded over again! It was quite warm walking but the air is still chilly and we've got down to 5 degrese C early mornings! freezing for us!
