I love my music!
Jul. 5th, 2006 10:34 pmWell my trippletalk speaker keeps dropping and now it sounds really basy, woops!
I just got back from writing group with S, J, K and L. Twas good. I wrote about something (which I will prob put in here sometime) that was based on myself and it got me all depressed. Then I livened up as J and I were chatting and laughing on the way home from Syndil.
I have always been way too proud of my music collection than I have admitted to anyone and my journal. I'm into such a variety now and I love it! course now that I've got a lot of it on puter, it's always a lot more accessable. I'm not use to it and it's great! course I still love the country that I( grew up with. was sitting here, playing some Willie Nelson and getting lost in emotion (as certain songs do to me. In fact just about any of my music will do it to me). it followed by my playing some other music; bewitched (which I hadn't heard in years) and all these memories were flooding to me. Good, bad, funny, sad - all with different songs! Words can't describe how proud I am of my music and what it can do to me sometimes!
It gets me sooo emotional sometimes, not necessarily in a bad way but I feel like crying any way!
And again, it's even better now that I got everything in one place. I no longer have to go to my shelf and sift through finding the CD I am in the mood for - it's all there! and tonight was just a minny example of what having all (well half at the moment) of my music there in one place will do to me!
Why does music do this? I can honestly say it is amazing that it was even invented.
actually going on to a current train of thought, I was just thinking the other day, I just wonder what makes "scarey music" sound scarey to us? how do "they" (anyone) know what makes the particular emotion for us?
Now, I guess what starts all my emotions in music is the key changes still, and country (namely Willie Nelson tonight) has a lot of them! I am not sure why/how key changes affect me like they do but they always have. Even on my tapes when I was 3 I was singing to inflict key changy things!
I still can't express everything music does to me sometimes!
anyway going back, it is times like this when I'm probably way too proud of my vast music collection and going to show it off to others when it's all up here! (There are only about two or three albumns I don't care for. I can't say I like every single song on every albumn but mostly I do).
There's music I hear on the old radio stations still that capture me and i don't own. I use to then straight away go to Napster and get them, but since all the contraversy, I really don't download a lot now! I've been greatful to have access from friends, and they must think I'm mad sometimes when I go on about how greatful I am to them for having a particular song or entire albumn. I feel they're the best thing since sliced bread when I find they have my music - stuff that perhaps I haven't listened to for years and even had forgotten about!
Guess I thought I'd capture the feeling (though again, I don't think words will do it). just .. memories memories memories in music music music - my music, my artists - country, rock, pop, ballads - I love a lot of it!
I never go on music rants.
I guess I may go to bed now!
Til next Time, RdFreak
:edit: I find I don't care for much of today's music at all! the more time goes on, the less stuff released I like. interesting! the golden oldies I guess!
