time for a real update I guess.
I just filled in my e-census form before. Who knows if it was OK to do it now or wait til tomorrow night but thousands of others have filled it in already, and as someone so rightly pointed out, they wouldn't make it available online yet if they didn't expect people to fill it out!
so after pointless hours of trying the faulty census hotline, I've got no collector coming to do it for me, cos I could do it all meself! see, long story! yesterday dad came around and read me out my census numbers, but this morning I tried to enter them, and I kept getting errors, so I called the line, got through straight away and I explained my situation but the guy informs me that the collector will come around and fill it out for me *grrr!) no! so anyway, after the call I mannaged to log in, so for the next hour, I was trying to call back to cansil! eventually I actually got to talk to a consultant who was helpful and cansiled it for me. then, I filled it in! And then I gave them positive feedback about their accessability!
Oh, and I sent Neil Mitchell an email, educating him about screen readers since he made a sarcastic comment this morning about "blind people filling their census forms out on line". .. ahem .. I don't think he's interested in my problems though as I never heard back from him last time. ah well, I do have an SS address to write to re my BigBrother issues!
This week I do have a busy one as I am behind on my work! I am yet to send my story in, (got to get it off my braille note and finish it today before sending it), then got to critique the others. writing group wednesday night (which i haven't read that book for yet; ah well!) got Wise Friday and, got to prepare for next Saturday's course.
Last Saturday went well at course. he said (and I felt it too) I am improving on camera nerves. The piece that I wrote though to perform was kinda too long. I'd rehearsed it heaps to myself before hand and had it perfect; ah well! :( And we all read some news items. would love to be a news reader too! R and I were talking about auto cues though and wondering what we could do about that.
aaah and I learnt that Kat (from course) is friends with Jamie's brother! how cool! didn't get around to elaborating on that though so must email her bout it. also chatting to C over email so that's good. It's a shame we couldn't be in the same class still.
I absolutely looove making friends and this year I have been pretty neglecting there! I don't go out nearly as much as I'd like. It's a big reason why I hate online study/work of course!
Yesterday I spent practically the whole afternoon trying to win Hunter Lol! Those games are just so awesome! I would love to try and make games like that, but then a requirement is patience and I don't have much of them, Lol!
Oh, I now got an apricott tree! Mum bought it for a late b/day present last Sunday and had it there, but she (and Nan) planted it here Friday afo. It's just a standard one in a pot - they don't do them in the minature varieties cos they're apparently tempremental! not sure why; they still have other fruit ones.
anyway so I need to start taking care of my garden more - my Dafnee obviously needs TLC! :( ah well!
so it will be a while before i get some fruit but it will be the best! home grown apricotts rule rule rule! oooh yeah! :) Lol
OK
