Well the latest news on this end is that I .. amem .. "accidently" (or not) purchased myself a brand new audio game; the first one ever from Danzgames.com Super Deekout! I was listening to an audio trailer from Damien 's site and thought may as well go check it out since I hadn't checked out dan's games before and was curious to see how he wanted to take his approach since he left BSC to take that different approach from where that was going .. so .. right! Yeh so downloaded deekout; never got to getting through all the levels on the demo but decided it seemed addicting enough and I may wish to play more levels when I get up to them, but can't so I took the plundge. I then downloaded his free memory game which is pretty cool - a lot like the Simon audio games - the handheld ones. (I still got my pocket simon somewhere in my toy draw, but don't think it works any more - old bateries killed it I think - grr).
So yeh. that was friday night i bought that (so not really the latest news).
Friday i went to wise earlier to speak to D about surveys and stuff. yeh a lot of job prospects game out but am into such a wide variety now. Then L was saying she's no longer my consultant as she's moving on in company but introed me to Joel. I explained that I'm at the stage of my life now where, I am still aiming to study next year but if a job came up I really wanted to do full time and I found it had prospects for me long term I'd just do that. so yeh -- one way or the other, I will better my future there, or something! So yeah that was Friday and Heartly had a little play off harness. L loves those dogs so that was cool! so She (heartly) was doing her "showing off" routine, as she does.
Then yesterday morning I heard on news about Ross Warnakey (excuse spelling) passing away friday night. I'd forgotten to mention in here, Neil mentioned last week he was sick with canser and in Palative care. I was shocked as, I don't always tune into the program but last I heard him, he sounded well. but apparently he had pancreas canser (mum had heard) and he was only diagnosed twelve weeks before hand. that's soo sad; he seemed so nice. I never spoke to him but I often contemplated it! I don't get it; canser is just getting everybody so young. he was only 54. anyway
So, R.I.P Ross W. I really loved your style man!
Yesterday morning I tried playing some deekout (am improving but am having trouble centering coins. it will take practice though. I am getting higher and higher up even now. It's very addicting!)
Then I went off to station and the guy there tells me there's no trains and there was the bus services. I contemplated not going but knew it was important as next week we're meant to be shooting our TV show/documentary thing, so I walked up, waited and followed crowd on to the bus and this girl pointed out a spare seat next to her. I asked if she was going to city and could I walk with her from bus bays of boxhill to station as I'm still not familiar with it (grrrr). So we ended up getting to talk and so too did we going in on the train. and we swapped email addresses so .. another friend. she's from NSW and came down here to study at Deakin. told her it's one of the choices i'll have for teaching next year.
anyway I made it to course bout fifteen mins late. We discussed the content of show. We're looking at doing it on Guide dog's vic. (the promo person of VA was on leave as that was another possibility). So I was interviewed a bit yesterday, and when S gets to talk to H (from GDV Monday) I also will call M (Heartly and my trainer) and interview him hopefully on Heartly's training, etc. should be interesting!
and we also went out to do some filming on street where we were also using the radio mics.
Then last night I asked Dad if he could pick me up from mont albert station (as I didn't feel like tackling finding people who were going my way) so parents met me there, dropped me home. and this morning I've been trying to beat my score on deekout. as I say it is working.
And wednesday I meet H as I am starting my volunteering with MS at the home in Cantaberry. yeh so cool and that.
Til next time, RdFreak
