meet the Fockers
Oct. 16th, 2006 02:56 pmSince I was introduced to audio described movies I have much preferred to keep copies of these over non-audio described movies. I find it so fascinating; there are a few movies I fell in love with just from having sighted ppl explain to me what's going on, but not many. I have always found I am rather impatient when it comes to movies and don't care about them too much unless, now, they are audio described.
This (Meet the Fockers) being one of my favourite movies of all time, I had obtained an audio copy of it not audio described. But I recently got the DVS version and decided to make a list of what I discovered through listening to it in this state, over listening to it thousands of times non-audio described, (and also having originally seen it with A in the movies, who did her best to describe to me what's going on.
( list and spoilers for those who haven't seen it )
Also an interesting note to my sighted readers.
but even when people try their absolute best to describe movies to us, they just can't describe everything even if they want too. It's impossible. Even these dVS movies can't describe everything but it's a real eye opener - pardon the pun for us :)
