1. Called D (from GDV) yesterday and, not sure whether I left it too late or not as she can only start orientating me in a couple of weeks. - may be too late and it's not good to do it during O week.
2. called DLO .. she got back to me this morning, and I will be registering with them on web site and made an appointment to go in to be assessed.
3. called VA Bornia and will have an O&M instructor get back to me. told N I need it ASAP, but there's only two instructors there. but the priority is school and uni students atm.
4. Called R and gave her my points about the bursary selection. - poor DC copped it from me a bit last night I guess. this damn blind community is so small though that I really don't like the idea of client representation on the bursary selection commitee. ordanarily i think it's a good thing, but, in this case, no!
See i had exciting visions of winning said Bursary and, then being able to afford a trecker plus a U.K map and have it in time for when I visit U.K mid-semester. that was only a dream but a good one! then I could be more independent. I will definitely get one though as soon as I can.
just means I will have to borrow a laptop from DLO til I can afford my m-power transplant and of course I'll need it while it's being sent in anyway.
I haven't got anything on today so I can just relax, knowing I've done everything so am just waiting now. have got that usual anticipation/excitement for second round VTAC offers tomorrow! I'll be able to check it just before I leave for blood bank. it's one of the rare occasions I'm going to just catch the cab there as I don't think it'd be a good idea to walk when I've just donated.
so vTAC offers come out on the site at 2, but it may be too clogged to check at the time!
so yeh I'm calm now. am even kinda a bit excited about my upcoming study and where it will hopefully lead me.
til next time, RdFreak
