[livejournal.com profile] loscha is coming over here today but he had to add in his LJ that apart from this, he has no other plans for the day; I thought that was amusing for the following reasons:
It takes two train rides to get out here, and that's big enough in itself (especially if one is witness to the many strange happenings that can only take place on public transport, not to mention evesdropping on some of the best conversations which, again, can only be done on public transport.)
We will find somewhere to eat some lunch,
We will probably play some braille scrabble,
He will probably be witness to my upside down computer monitor (Dad reckons it may just be the monitor),
He'll be able to hear jabber jaws,
He will get to be jumped on by an out-of-harness Heartly,
He will be able to hear me rant/bitch about people - always something to look forward too.
He may have to show off his musical talents on my poor little neglected piano ..
and, the list goes on! so! .. I rest my case! Lol
OK I'm in a silly mood, so no-one mind me, which, am sure they're not anyway.
I just played a bit of Jim Kitchen's monopoly with a computer player called Bishop? Lol! and I was winning! :)
My eye was restful last night but now that I'm awake, it's decided to flicker a bit again! doesn't seem as bad as yesterday though which hopefully is promising!
And with that, I go and, probably have something to eat, and clear away drying dishes from the sink.

Well I had a really fun day today I must say (woh that rhymes :) [livejournal.com profile] loscha left here probably bout half an hour ago.
We had lunch at Pumkins, then came back here and spoke and played casios for a while, and now the expert has told me more about them, will be apreciating mine more! Lol - have always loved mine though.
We played scrabble which was very interesting for me since I literally haven't played in years! .. of course I was more so on a two/three word role but that may improve as I get better! Lol .. but honestly I learnt a lot about the game that I didn't know before - a lot of cheats and actual real rules thanks to Loscha.
We then walked to the shops, came back and swapped computer files then watched Neighbours which was great!
Then Loscha had a look at demos of all the blindy stuff like the eureka, braillenote, perkins, sharp calculator (woh actually didn't realize how much equipment I had here! now I feel like a blindy equipment shop, Lol :) Anyway Loscha said he may be able to solve the issues with my braillenote cells as simply as cleaning unit out (which I agree as I have never had it cleaned).
I'll probably be teaching him braille as well! haven't taught braille to anyone since school but man some of me friends were good at it!
Then Loscha said I could borrow his .. man I forget what it's called already; an indian instrument that he had showed me earlier. It's certainly different. sure he'll comment and remind me *grrr .. can't believe I've forgotten it already! But when it's switched on, it loops a pattern in a certain time sequence and four notes can be created by turning the knobs on the top.
So yeh today equaled much funness! Oh, my screen thing is fixed now too, yeah! now sighties won't end up with sore necks when they are helping me with stuff.
and, if this eye doesn't stop flickering by end of tomorrow, I will go to docs as A mentioned to me it may possibly be something more serious, and it's a slight concern to me now. it is affecting my left eye - the little bit that has never been able to see a thing. so yeh ..
and I made the appointment for Miss Heartly for tomorrow.
and now I go.
til next time, RdFreak
