birthday review! :)
Apr. 16th, 2007 08:30 pmI'm a dag hey! but, yes, I wished meself a happy birthday and .. well .. I have to say today was a great day and I had so much care and support shown to me.
OK i got to work at 7.30 - very early! and I am definetly a morning person! I guess the fact I was finally left alone with some responsibility made me feel kinda good and proud! so yeh, i came in, after chatting all the way with that lady who was going to the Alfred for work! she'd seen me get off the bus here many times.
anyway about an hour or so after i left that phone post, Dan and frank came in, and them and Jon gave me their present - soap, powder, moisturizer, etc. Was so nice of them! They assured me it wasn't a hint! Lol! haha! .. then I got a few sMS' from people. and my day went on as normal. Jon did shout my lunch though!
anyway afterwoods, I came home to try and find out my salery number (for centrelink as I need to provide them with my payslips - that's why all the problems, so got to try and get them faxed to centrelink before my next pension, etc.)
I then had other birthday emails waiting which were much appreciated! :)
Then Nan (who had arrived and picked me up from station) and I drove to parents. we had a lovely turkey and roast vegies for tea, followed by chocolate. I got a pair of wireless headphones and orange chocolate from parents. The headphones are great, and my idea is to listen to them while I do chores, or go outside to listen to books and/or movies in the sun, etc. anyway they sound awesome! was listening to music half the night! Lol
Came home and got a few more cards with money from relos and friends.
Will now check remaining email, talk to J (who will be calling me back) then will be off to bed early for my 6o'clock wakeup tomorrow! :)
I value birthdays quite highly and hence very much appreciate it when people (aka friends) remember, so I'm indeed very greatful to those who wished me a happy birthday on and off LJ!
