Jul. 19th, 2007 06:40 pmWell at the moment Dirk's parents are here. they're dropping a freezer over.
His Mum shook my hand and held it in between hers while saying "Halllo" to me so I replied "wie gehts" and, that made her think i was more fluent in my German than I actually was, woops! she sounded pleased and said other stuff, and when I looked vague she said "gutte?" and I replied "ja ja!" and then B translated for me if I was enjoying it? and I replied "ja" I was.
I actually slept til 2 this afo. We didn't go to bed til 3 AM cos Daniel was over and they were playing music and stuff. so my, that was sure a sleepin.
yesterday it seemed as though I was losing my voice but today it's come back mostly; thought I was catching larenjitus from that Scotish guy on the plane next to me from Singapore to Dubai.
Once I had a shower before we all went to the butchers where I had a liverworst roll and a tub of potato salad.
B doesn't have dinner til later.
I was on here a bit last night as the german can sometimes be a bit much for me, though I knoe for a fact they are trying! Daniel tries very hard to make me feel included, especially like when he heard me walk out this room and he called my name. Him and dirk can speak a bit of english but they don't feel confident with it. Bianca tells me what they're talking about most times.
the sofa bed is OK but because the pillos are too big, and the back of the couch still slopes up, I am uncomfortable unless I have my feet over the edge. I seem to get to sleep alright though.
it was raining a bit today but yesterday was very nice - even a bit hot! about 26 I'd guess. Essex has been about 22 each day; very nice.
Dirk's Mum just said bye and enjoy my stay. I said "tschuess"
it's been pretty cold in Melb according to parents. glad I'm not there, Lol!
