live in Worcester
Jul. 26th, 2007 08:33 pmWell I arrived in Worcester last night.
B, D and myself woke at 6 yesterday, got ready, cabbed it to station where we caught two trains to the airport. My flight was good; I sat in the front so I had more leg room. think I will be asking for those seats all the time, as I mostly get asked if I have a prefference.
Once I landed in Heathro I found, unlike previous when I'd arrived at the airport, I had a guy who was British and knew what he was doing (some of them are just hopeless). Once I got my suitcase, we went to the heathro express and I caught the train to paddington station. I then heard an announcement that no train was going to Worcester cos of the flooding, so I panicked for a while, went to customer service (where I was to meet up with D anyway) and asked what the options were. They told me we could still get there via two trains, not one, so I called D to tell him this.
However, when d arrived, we were informed that there was in fact, a train going direct to Worcester! (funny since they told me there prob wouldn't be a train til at least tomorrow). ah well! we caught the 5.20 train which probably got us there about 8 or so.
got back here, had a grand tour, ate, talked some more and went to sleep.
today we didn't do a lot really; was quiet, and we just watched TV, did a bit of internet surfhing around what things we can do this week.
D's out at a work function now. I was kindly invited, but I declined, on the fact I am kinda shy, but also I haven't really got any good good smart kinda clothes since I wasn't expecting I'd need them! that will teach me to presume! I may have gone otherwise anyway.
so I am just mucking around on the puter; I had dinner; chicken and chips which were very filling! and I will probably watch the U.K BigBrother at 9. I was watching it last night and it was verry awesome I thought. itseems a lot more kinda dramatic than ours, but I guess there's still more people. Their bigBrother is higher pitched than ours! and the Mike Goldmen equivillent talks quite slow and announced the time of each event (which is something I wish ours did. they have it on screen apparently though but that's no good to me!)
this window eyes is saying "bang" in place of the explanation, still, and amusing me.
two amazing facts that has just sprung to mind:
1. I am using notepad an
d will transfer again cos this keyboard is taking me a little getting use too and knowing me, I would have written the entry and then deleted it some how.
2. it occurred to me just then, while hearing a noise outside a bit like a motor scooter, that in germany, I heard so many of the things in a day; and was told by B that one can get their motor scooter licence there at aged 14, so all the kids get them!
watching the news here, the result of the flood is still quite serious though it is improving slightly. indeed, this place was never effected luckily; over the road was affected though I'm told.
right, guess that's it for now. will log into LJ and copy and paste copy and paste copy and paste, Lol
til next time, RdFreak
