first of all, a couple of things that weren't so awful!
I guess, a fan of my LJ, or something, AH kindly informed me after my previous LJ entry, that Centerlink now do require you to answer one of your secret questions you signed up with every time you log in. -- a bit weird but OK, at least I know my account is working properly; except sometimes it times out or something when I try and log on to the page initially for some reason. maybe i have cookies set up wrong, or not set up at all, or something. .. in the words of me young brits .. "I don't bloody know" I'm a no-nofin about a lot of net-related stuff.
Yesterday I met Adrian (from Wise) at Armadale station, and we drove to the shop in High street where I saw a talking Olympus and will get it.
then I just made me way home, after stopping at the bakery. it was a nice day yesterday weatherwise, as is today.
I just got out of bed not too long ago. was listening to the radio. First, I was shocked. I flicked it on at the end of the breakfast program and they had their usual regular Thursday entertainment reporter on. And he was talking about WahWah - that little boy I believed I mentioned about a year ago from east teamore who was threatened to be eaten cos he was thought to be cursed, or something (can't remember why). anyway he said something like
"I wonder what happened to him. did he end up soughtaed on someone's dinner plate?" .. what a stupid ridiculous thing to joke about! some reporters get away with just way too much.
Second thing, Neil Mitchell started and he straight away began to talk about an interview he did yesterday with a claire Oliver. I didn't hear yesterday but he played a snippet. She's turning 26 Saturday and "only has days to live" after developping a skin cancer three years ago as a result of visitting a Salariam twenty times.
She sounded strong, but apparently today she wasn't well at all. she had two aims; one was to make it to her 26th birthday saturday, and the other was to try and change perceptions regarding salariams. Well, course Neil said that he sadly can't do anything about her first aim, but, with all the media hipe from her stints on Today tonight last night, as well as the seven thirty report last week (and that radio interview), on Neil's program, the health minister was saying that by September, he is going to make it manditary that teens under 16 can't visit salariams, teens between 16 and 18 have to have parental concent, and all salariams have to have warnings that they could cause cancer.
Naturally they were all pleased with this and wanted to do their best to pass the message on to claire.
I knew that had any time passed and it was too late before i could get a message to her, I'd be sooooo angry and upset with myself ( so the email )
so, who knows whether Neil has ever read my few previous emails to him, but i hope he passes on that one.
If only she could be strong enough to fight this, it will be sooo awesome! That'd of course be my wish, that she can fight this and defy all odds!
til next time, RdFreak
