no, not me!
Sep. 30th, 2007 11:19 amso I haven't quite neglected this thing for Facebook! I never said I'd do that; guess I was on the site a bit yesterday adding myself to various groups, checking out youtube sites that the wonderful "australia" community have posted, that sorta thing! but all in all, it still takes me three times as long to do what I want. adding meself to groups takes about three clicks (then a refresh and another click if that doesn't work) weird!
anyway it was better than listening to the granfinal! ("go the pies!" being my anual grandfinal tradition of course from when A and I hung out on that first day :) speaking of them, they may be going to YBCV today; and I won't be. ah well,
Even I found out the Cat's won; go them! ah yes OK so it's exciting but I'm glad life can go back to normal! totally can't understand why people get so hung up on two teams running around, kicking a ball and occasionally tackling each other to the ground?
Dad got two free tickets through work and took T (who goes for the cATs anyway.)
oh dad came and helped me format my 250 gig hard drive last night. we ended up putting the XP CD in and doing it that way, not that I hadn't had offers of help, but I had tried clicking on mannagement in "my computer" and I kept on getting this wizzard where I didn't want to do it alone in case I stuffed something up.
anyway after about an hour, it came back and said it couldn't format it *grrr .. but, it then showed up in 'my computer" and gave us the option to reformat it which is what we did. dad left, and I went to sleep with an audio book and left it going. I woke up a while later and it was done. This morning (just before actually) I moved my entire 36 gig audio folder over! so it leaves me this hard drive for programs and stuff. and it will probably run a bit faster again.
anyway after the format, when the disc was still empty, it had said used space was 70 megs, and I only had 242 gigs of free space left.
I heard a while ago that these hard drives are never exactly what they say, but I still don't get why? It's ripping me off 8 gigs; that's a lot! that was over three quarters of my original old 14.4 gig hard drive! mm!
Last week went well; i got two free packss of chips from station; they were just handin them out wednesday afo. good thing was, I had been down to platform 1 and found out train was going to be late, so thought I may as well catch the train on platform 5, and when I was only near there, did she ask me! they were rocker chips or something; tasty but heck salty.
what else happened that I wanted to say in here; a bit but I can't remember now. I was on facebook during my spare time.
oh, we had a BBQ at friday lunch to rais money for the leukemia foundation. I had three sausages in bread with tomato sauce and onions.
(just then i thought LJ swallowed my entry, cos stupid jaws crashed and I had to reboot cos though I mannaged to run narrator, that wasn't reading the windows. anyway, LJ saved my draft, so yeah for LJ!
what I may do, is, instead of writing these entries in my Facebook notes, i may link to the entries. I am up to 104 friends; it's good cos i have a good ballence between school friends and other, but course my main intent was getting back in touch with school ppl. and, while I haven't said much to everyone yet, I've been slowly writing to everyone via private message, (wall posts as well.)
anyway, if I think of something i left out, I'll come back to it of course.
week off this week. I had emailed Humanware, and they say that the shippment is about here, but obviously it didn't make end/mid September; maybe this week? I do want.
