I had such a huge! day yesterday, that this is the first time I have ben able to post.

Yesterday morning I had my third singing lesson. I used my Trekker to get there, and didn't have to ask the tram driver to tell me where to get off. It was really cool!

At my lesson I did some warmup exercises and sang Only Hope, the song I recorded in my LJ a few weeks ago. I'm going to let G listen to the recording sometime, as I'd like her feedback.

She also explained how to open my mouth more when I'm singing. It was a great lesson!

I then had a bit of time to kill before heading into the city to meet [livejournal.com profile] golden_sands and [livejournal.com profile] harmonybear. So I went into Box Hill Central for more cookie puffs. I indulged on both a chocolate and mango cookie, and now want more so will be going back there this afternoon with Mazz.

At 2pm we met up with M and K, after having to rescue M who was unable to find her way off the platform - stupid girl with her stupid guide dog unable to do something that simple. Oh well...

Hungry Jacks was the choice for a late lunch, but I was still full after my cookies, so only had a few of M's fries. M had the most interesting icecream. Even after it sat there for 20 minutes, it was still rock hard. I'm glad it was her eating it not me, as I hate to think what they put in it to keep it that hard.

M then wanted to go and find the Plain White T's CD, so we set off in the direction of Melbourne Central.

I don't like huge crowds and having to try and keep track of people, especially when my ears are really blocked, so I got quite stressed and anxious trying to keep with the group. M and I got lost a few times, which added to my anxiety. We went and looked at toys in Myers, before finally reaching Sanity. Lucky for M, her CD was there, otherwise I would have had to kill her!!

M also wanted chocolate pretzles, so we went into Central Grocery, an Asian grocery store. We also bought some other candy, including a tube of something that I didn't know what it was at the time, but it looked interesting so I thought I would risk it. They turned out to be jubes, which are really nice.

Finally we headed home on the train, which I was immensely relieved about, as my feet were really sore after all that walking. Boy I'm out of shape!

I called Anita on the way home and asked her where this Mexican restaurant was as I had tacco cravings. Anita offered to help us find the place, then ended up joining us for tea. I was feeling really hungry so ended up ordering three chicken taccos. What a pig I am!! But they were delicious!!

Anita dropped us home, and we watched Anne of Green Gables. M and I also had some good girlie chats which was nice!!

So that was my long and tiring day.

Today M and I are going back for more cookies. We'll be meeting my Nanna there so she can show us where a few places are before M goes home.

I'm also going over to Mum's this afternoon to celebrate her birthday.

Till next time

The previous entry was written in a style much to elegant for me. [livejournal.com profile] golden_sands highjacked my LJ after I wrote her entry for her!
[livejournal.com profile] jordina didn't pick it up; she thought we'd had a falling out! Lol "I wouldn't usually sound that bitchy in a public entry" she says! .. Lol!
So yeh she's coming over tomorrow! I'm now happy about this!
I have some puffies for her to try, and probably fall addicted!
Today M and I met Nan at Boxhill and had lunch, puffies and went to nutshack! Then we waited ages for her bus, only to discover that there wasn't ever one at 3 (as the timetable had said), but 4. so we just chatted some more in the cool of the centre, before going out and meeting up with a bus this time!
Nan and I then caught train to parents. Mum cooked a lovely roast for her birthday tea (think dad helped a bit too).
As M said for me, my trekker was a God send yesterday. today I was browsing offline at a few places. man i loove that thing. I'm going to use it a lot more than i had been for sure!
As I hadn't posted in here for so long, I did go out to meet up with dad in city for lunch last wednesday, and then I went to south Yarra, and RB and myself went from there to kooyong where we met John M, who showed me how to work the mixer and stuff for my take over of the recording of computer users group.
It took a while cos they were still figuring out how they are going to set it up so we don't have to plug in as many chords each time we set up! I think mixers are cool! never really seen one before - well not a home one anyway.
Spoke to B Friday about stuff and that.
Labour day tomorrow, hence the extra day at home. Last day at SY Tuesday then Queens.
til next time, the real RdFreak :)
