catching up ..

haven't written in here since cup day! -- i actually did end up going to Nan's; I left about 3.30, and my already dampened spirits got a tad worse with another rude bus driver who was on the phone while I was trying to communicate with him! *grrr*
anyway, got to Nan's that night, had dinner and a relaxing spa bath. i had tried RB again, but no such luck getting through, still.
That night, i spoke to bec on the phone, and we'd arranged a get-together for the wednesday at the Pasco vale hotel. I'd go back to Glenroy and meet Nan after work, so that's what I did.
It was great to meet Rachel, (nice name :) J's g/f for the first time. we ended up participating in the weekly trivia night after dinner. I'm so hopeless at trivia, but I got one question right; the name of the famous greet Mathmatician; Pythagoras; I remembered! :) (maybe I did pay attention in Maths afterall! :)
Oh, while still at work that afo, I did finally get to speak to rB; he sMS'ed me and asked me to call him, so I did! -- my mood was much improved once I heard he was on the road to recovery! -- i was thinking about visitting him Thursday after work, but he actually ended up going home.
Anyway, so I went home myself. Friday C came to join us at work. we had fun listening to some tapes from their radio class.
Yesterday morning I went singing, then I met up with matjm at the Swiss bakery. The original plan was for him to come back and help me with my Iriver, but that is going to wait as I didn't have it charged, and he informs me it's dammaging to try updating the firmwear when it's plugged in.
Today is pretty quiet. Was speaking to serichsen for a while before as he's staying here on wednesday night while in Melb.
Last weekend, I had bought a ticket for this jazz gig that a few of G's students are performing in tonight, but I am not going now. J (Mum's cousin), partner and baby girl are down staying here from New Zealand, so we're doing a catchup dinner tonight. Haven't seen J since we were over there in 94, and course I haven't met the others! -- so that should be fun!
From tomorrow, terry joins me at SY. we get along great guns, so am looking forward to his company, even though I'll miss rB terribly. Looking forward to him coming back though! But Terry and I will get up to all sorts of crazy stuff; we always have heaps of fun!
