hot hot hot
Jan. 31st, 2009 08:26 amWell, we, or I, have just survived three consecutive record breaking days of 45+ temps (or 113 F). I amso greatful I can do the conversions now, thanks to a website that
onlylisa gave me, cos I can't work out the formula myself.
Anyway, I largely survived these three days due to the aircon at work! -- my aircon at home only pretty well cools down the lounge. so for the past two nights, i have spent half of them out on the matress in the lounge.
I think the heat made me go a bit looney yesterday; I actually endured an hour of the Simpsons because I couldn't be bothered listening, or doing for that matter, anything else! -- As my modem packs up in the intense heat, I thought it'd just be pointless to turn me puter on last night.
Anyway, I got rather tired early, so I crashed out on the floor, listening for company, but not understanding a thing of, Law and Order.
anyway, I was amused with the half hour of simpsons before Neighbours, because, Duringt the little bit I could understand, the Simpsons hired a Nanny called Cherry Bobbins! Lol! that amused me greatly during my efforts to try and stay cool in my, probably, 38 hot house. and, what was even more amusing was she sung dirty parities out of Mary Poppins, and honestly had a great voice!
Maybe i should try and listen to an audio described version, (which I have got access too) of the Simpsons, Lol!
Today it's forcast 37 degrese (or 98 F) and, it's said to become very very humid!
I'm not going singing again today as I have had an annoying throat for the past week. Off to docs sometime next week as I need to be tested for Iron again. If I'm still low, I'll need to visit a specialist because it would appear i am unable to kget my iron levels up on my own.
This morning i found an email from my friend
foghead420 who asked me why us Australians don't refer to ourselves as "visually impaired" because it sounds ugly.
I simply ( replied )
It's funny because i'm not usually that politically correct, or give a damn, but I know, I do feel strongly about that term. as I say, I do shudder when people call us "visually impaired". I say "speak for yaself!" Lol!
and with that, I'm off to continue my rare chatting on msn.
Til next time, RdFreak
::edit:: P.S. oh, happy 33rd, (I think) wedding anniversary to Mum and dad; hope he remembers all the way over in Dubai!
