First of all, this wireless kicks all over starbucks in Dubai.
I am now in Dublin, and it's literally "top of the morning" as it's 7! oh dear, time for breakfast soon; well will go down at 8. Then I am catching up with [livejournal.com profile] louise_1985 and a couple of her friends today. got to get to the gresham hotel by 11, then we'll do some shopping.
Got here about 9.30 last night! man it was freezing!
I was in Frankfurt for eight hours. B couldn't meet up as she woke with a flu-type deal and gosh, she sounded bad! so I understood! Lol! there'll be a next time! she got me some kinda chocolate though, yeah! :)
So, I was waiting fifteen mins in the freezing cold for the hotel shuttle. Everyone here says it's mild weather compared to what they just had recently.
I looove Irish people; they are so friendly, and their humour is awesome! :)
I'm talking to John (too early in the morning to attempt to spell his username) on msn!
I did sleep reasonably well, but woke to sMS Rob to tell him he could call me if he wanted, so he did, but now am wide awake; go figure!
Well, guess I better think about getting ready.
can't get over this awesome wireless!
Til next time, RdFreak
:edit:: P.S. even more awesome is the wireless as eudora has just downloaded 520 emails very quickly! :)

Well, I am totally not suffering from jetlag at all, and it's a good thing! I thought, especially with my being awake so early this morning, I would have had a hard time walking around this afo, but I totally didn't. It's 7.25 and I still feel fine.
I'm about to take advantage of the big bath in here!
In all my excitement about the wireless this morning (which is standard), I forgot to mention how great this room is. have a king size bed, but I still sleep on one edge as if I'm in a single! As I took a while to warm up last night, I now have an extra blanket and the heater is on!
Today was great! didn't actually think I would enjoy it as much as I did!
I went to reception not long after I wrote in here, and was shown to breakfast. had bacon, eggs, sausages, mushrooms, toast and fruit salad! --
From last night, I memorized the way pretty well from my room to the lobby, but still get confused to the actual desk cos it's a bit open. but everyone helps! That's the thing which I noticed all day today, everyone is just so helpful, even offering to help and sounding like they're feeling greatful to be able to help. It's not like Melbourne. sure, people will help, but, it's like they feel they have too. These people are so chatty and don't mind going out of their way; it's just different!
Assistence was organized for me on shuttle and to the aircoach. Then the driver helped me into the lobby of the Gresham and I waited for Lou and her friend Kerry who's a local. She was lovely.
We went and had tea, then to various other places. The first thing I insisted on is getting my tin wistle! I had to get one since I was in Ireland! I told em next time I come back, I would have mastered the art of playing it! :)
As it's hard to guide two blindies when you're blind yourself, Kerry sometimes got lost and that's when people were always so willing to help.
Oh, Gemma, Lou's new guide dog is sooo cute! She's got a much wider head than Heartly's, and her ears are alot softer and floppier!
Their friend met up with us for lunch, then he went back to work, and we moved on. We stopped at an Irish hand-made chocolate place; mmmm! then we went to a souvenir shop and I got a couple of things including this fridge magnet that plays "WHEN IRISH EYES ARE SMILING".
Then basically, after another cuppa, we made our way back; Kerry went one way and Lou and I caught the bus back to the airport, then she got assistence to where she was catching a bus home, and a staff member actually assisted me back here!
And now as I say, am going to have a bath, then prob stuff around on here a bit before bed.
don't feel like ttea tonight as we had a big lunch.
Off to London tomorrow! will prob try get to the airport around 10.30. not going far, so shouldn't have to be there too early.
til next time, RdFreak
