Joy to Jessica
Oct. 3rd, 2009 08:50 amI know I know; it's been a long time for an update, again. Let's just say a lot is going on in my life right now.
Thursday we heard D and I won't be going into Queen Street. there's not enough work for us, so they're trying to redeploy us elsewhere. And I've got those other jobs on the cards, and when I get back from QLD, I will see if i can go weekly to IETS (intergrated employment and training services). So I'm OK really. I guess i can panic if I haven't heard anything by christmas; there's no way I'm going to be out of a job too long.
I trip off to Cairnes in six days.
Yesterday I got a call from Jane at guide dogs. She's training a group at the moment and has a dog who they think may be suitable for me. unlike how guide dogs handled things when I trained with Heartly, they will be bringing Joy out on Wednesday so I can walk her down to Blacky station.
If they then think she is good for me, I'll be in the November class.
I just don't know about the name Joy for a dog, so thinking I may see if I can change it to Jessica; lovely feminine name.
As already mentioned in here, it will be so hard to transission from little Heartly. I always wondered how I could have such love for another dog, and if I did, it'd be unfair on Heartly.
I know I'll still see her at my parents, but it just will not be the same.
If only I lived in a bigger house with others, I could keep her.
Anyway, but I am looking forward to meeting Joy/Jessica.
OK off to singing
