The subject line was a song we use to sing in Sabbath school.
But yesterday I met Joy! And it was amazing; I fell in love with her straight away. I really didn't think it'd be that simple with my love for Heartly, but, unbe-knowns to myself, I found it possible to have instant love for Joy as well as the love for Heartly never being replaced.
Jane (instructor) came early, around 10. I left Heartly in here, we walked out to the street, where Jane took hold of my harness and we walked around a bit so she could get the feel of the bad habbits I'd gotten intoo.
Then we went to the van where she'd bought her entire group of dogs as she was out training them that day. She was explaining to me that they're housed in their own individual cage in the back with water and a blanket each. Jane got Joy out and she was sooo cute; sooo tiny! I didn't think such tiny dogs could work. When I say tiny, I guess I mean, tinnier than Heartly, which I didn't think would be possible. Obviously she'll grow a bit more but not much.
She didn't jump, but she was bouncy and extremely waggly of her little tail. I struggled to put my harness on her as she wouldn't stop riggling; bless her! and Jane attached a her own lead to her and we walked towards the station chatting all the way about her training, and pros etc.
She just worked so well for me straight away as noted by Jane later. Her confidence in me was just amazing, and I kept praising her all the way. Like Heartly, Joy also needs reassurence that she's doing the right thing. She was just great; I think it blew Jane away.
We had hot chocolate/coffee at the CAFE near station and Joy just sat there beside me the whole time. She didn't seem to sniff once, and to my great delight, she wasn't licky at all.
Jane says she's a bit cheaky (like Heartly use to be) but for me yesterday, she was on her best behaviour as she was still shy.
So we walked back home, and Jame basically gave me that above verdict on how well we were together. I told her yes, her work and everything else about her is to my great liking, and I would let her know for sure today, but it's a yes for sure. So will be in the November class. It starts on the 9th.
So, I couldn't get the dear little bundle out my head yesterday.
I then went to work to bring Heartly's dog bed home.
Today is my final day of work, but, like I said on twitter, I don't mind too much with everything else that seems to be going on at the moment; talk about everything happening at once!
Off to Cairnes tomorrow; will actually be in the plane at this time.
As it's A's birthday tomorrow, family are getting together tonight; then I come home and pack, so busy times much!
I don't know if I will be using the net up there; I believe Heather has got the Net, so I might use sa2go to keep this thing updated.
We'll be having Hungry Jacks for lunch today in celebration of my last day.
