a major life change for my poor Heartly
Oct. 30th, 2009 07:11 pmSo today the vet called me to tell me the results of the test she took from a lump on Heartly's ear that B discovered last Saturday. It's my worst fear; it's malignant. She has to go and get it cut out including most of the ear flap on Monday morning; my poor baby!
naturally, I was shocked when I found out. I was so impressed with her health; no arthritus, no nofin til today. I then felt bad that I hadn't discovered the lump sooner myself; how on earth long had it been there for?
So my poor baby will have no ear; she'll still hear fine but the flap will be gone.
I was supposed to go on another neighbours tour with the wonderful
irish2007 and of course, I feel bad that I can't go, but she understands! Everything is sure happening at once.
Unlike last time, she will still be able to work OK a day or two later, as there'll be no harness in the way of stitches etc.
Next week is Heartly's final working week and we had a bit planned, but I don't think we'll be able to do much now, except for my employment appointment and the doctor's, and course attending
jordina's bash tomorrow week.
I am still off singing and out tomorrow night.
In interview news, that went well on Monday. didn't think it was too good as I didn't think I spoke enough, but they seemed happy with me and are talking about the most suitable position for me.
Somehow failing that, D&B are impressed with my resume I hear, so will have that garanteed.
So yeh, mixed emotions yet again; my poor girl. It freaks me out when they talk about morphine and so forth, *shudders*
I love you Heartly, and all the best!
