Lol Heartly still wins in the obedience department

Well, as the subject would suggest, Heartly is still staying with me. I'm actually loving having the two dogs here. I'm not working so it works out well. Mum loves Heartly to death but loves a break sometimes and though she's asked if I need her to be picked up, I'm happy but will call her when i go away for the weekends etc. She stays here quite happily when Joy and I have to go out during the day for a few hours.
So as probably mentioned in here before, I run the two dogs up and down our big driveway to release some energy. Heartly still runs faster than Joy. Before, I had a bit of trouble with Joy's recall, so I thought I better do some obedience with her; I must confess, i am a bit slack with that but I must keep it up I feel; well guide dogs feel too though, Lol
Anyway so I went inside, got Joy's leash and told Heartly she could hang around outside as well. so, as I well and truly trust her to not wander, i left her to her own devices while I did some walking up and down with Joy, practicing her sits, downs and long leash recalls.
As Joy and I were coming back towards Heartly, I stopped Joy and told her to go down. Immediately I heard Heartly drop to the ground, but Joy stayed firmly in the sit position; lol bless her! :)Lol!
Yes, it's like the main thing we're (joy and I) still have trouble with is going down when I ask. She does it most of the time now but so reluctantly, it takes ages for it to happen.
Anyway it happens quite a bit actually where I'll give Joy a command, and heartly will obey.
Like Heartly, Joy will get it all very soon; it's just something I have to keep reminding myself that we have to work on more. because Joy and my bond has grown so strong so quickly, it's hard to remember I've only had her for seven months, not even a year yet.
