last night's yapper actually stopped after I yelled at it from my bathroom. I heard the owners outside, so they prob dragged it in.
Yesterday I called a lot of places, pricing flights. damn qantas is out of the question .. so good I hear, but so expensive! I'll most probably be flying Malaysian again (as I did last time). going through flight centre this time though. but Malaysian was awesome last time. didn't have any probs at all except during my stop over in KL where the people helping me, could hardly speak a word of english! that was interesting, but we mannaged some how.
this morning I spent time on phone to centrelink, and after having got yet another (third time lucky) temp password for the site (as it kept timing out) I mannaged to go on and update my employment details. I worked less than last time, but was told I'd be getting less, so called them up to confirm. my work credit has now been used, or something. anyway hope next time I get just as much as last time cos I'll be working less, but then it will be more again!
C came over yesterday afo and we listened to scanned convos mainly and we called DC so we could play that "elderly lady" trick on him; it was funny! he enjoyed it!

loscha will be making his way over here, and we'll play a bit of scrabble, watch neighbours with some dinner (probably Indian), and various computer things I guess, Lol!
Izzy comes back on neighbours tonight! that'd be interesting! wish she was still on there; she was fun! am not looking forward to stingray die though. :( so sad!
Last night, I suffered a bit of insomnia but fortunately it wasn't too bad. I took my mind back to marble season though at primary school.
can't remember what time of the year it occurred, or for how long.
I never knew how come the teachers were so against them. If she spotted someone with a marble, she'd confiscate it.
I'd often hear kids running past classrooms, down the coridoor or whatever with marbles rattling inside a container.
I'd often get shown by my friends how to "set up". I did quite well.
I started off my marble collection with a whole lot of standard ones from a chinese checker game I bought. never learnt chinese checkers, but when it was noted that marbles were valuable, i quickly forgot the game and brought them to school during the season to show off.
It wasn't long before I had a big marble (think a tom thum). I was told this marble was extremely good to have.
I then scored a balbarian and I loved this one. it fascinated me cos it was quite a bit heavier than the rest!
I'd count my marbles every night, and, I can't remember how many I had, but I guess, over 200! I was that proud of my collection!
I'd go to friends houses and feel their marble collection and be jealous that I didn't have as many as them!
One dreadful afternoon, after school, Alana Gretch (the new girl) came over, cos I was nice like that! I made the mistake of showing her my marble collection, and all of a sudden, she grabbed my hand and said "look how many marbles I've got now?" Considering she only had a few to start with, I knew she'd simply taken my marbles. I told her this, and she said "no, they were just extra ones I found in my bag". And this, is where my marble craze ended! I still had marbles, but was about a hundred down and I couldn't be bothered trying to build up my collection again. so I let them all go walkabout without a care, and stayed away from future marble seasons. -- think from memory though I only had one year to go of primary school so it wasn't a big issue.
I often think of those days though! Needless to say, the same day, Alana stole some chewey, and at the time, I was soooo angry. I rarely spoke to her again after that!
yeah for memories.
til next time, RdFreak
