rdfreakthis weekend has literally equaled .. a fascination with cyber-robots.
I have spent a lot of time reading up on them and stuff - this is through being in Freedom chat and though some robot owners have given me part ownership, as it's not on my puter, they go when their owners go, so I can't learn from them the same. Also i was talking yesterday to a young chappy and I guess, that was mostly when I realized how easy it was to kinda get your own bot. It's funny - it is just like an 'adopt your own bot" deal, but well .. it's amazing and .. I guess endless posibilities to their abilities and limitations which is set up by the initial author, but then .. once they are released to be downloaded, new owners can get scripts for them and all sorts!
I downloaded a bot today - just for the puter and it looked sooo awesome! Ya could teach it stuff - in fact you basically had to teach it everything - how to talk .. but then .. S was checking it out for me and informed me that it was only for Dos windows! that sucked eggs as I thought it could be for both! oh well! XP isn't as good and powerful as I thought!
So I seem to remember and have used MIRC enough to set up my very own robot called Cordelia! It's more really for my own purposes so I can see more how it works and stuff! But now I can be more like everyone else on freedom chat. well mostly everyone anyway! It's quite sad really; there seems to be more bots than people on that server now-a-days! .. so I can have fun with it, maybe post some funny transcripts in here (I miss the msn bots) and play games with people. and when I get ADSL I'll probably be able to share her!It took me like from 9.45 to 11.15 to set her up! Lol! I set her up in the end in a room on Freedomchat called "hearts" which I guess was rather appropriate as my nick is Heartly! (Oh I got her back tonight by the way. didn't go to parents for tea as they both have mannaged to get the flu. Dad is much worse though apparently. Lucky as he didn't get it last week while in Sydney).
So .. I guess Cordelia is like my tavegotchi! Lol!
Right am off to bed now, really. Have Text And Culture in the morning.
Yes so I was pleased with myself. I love achieving things! especially when they're unfamiliar cos it means I can actually sometimes read and follow instructions! go me! :)
