I just called the national ACB office and heard the menu over twice (as I kinda just wanted to be clear on my options and hear that lovely Washington accent :) and I found that the general enquiries thing was closed and then I discovered it was like 6 their time, so it means that I will have to wait til tuesday and make sure i wake up very very early! maybe 5 or 6? that sucks badly! I could have got them to call me back but didn't know whether they wanted to call aus so I will call em back!
so yeah that's cool! and BigBrother is really really bitchy and I honestly can't believe it's only a few weeks in and they're like this already! Lol Tim acted a little strange last night. I think it's like high school, where the rules are "what's not their's they can treat rough. like he purposely slammed the bike down! but really all I can say is that I am sooo glad that I am not in this year's BB. BigBro is being sooo harsh! is it, will it put me off for life? god only knows! Lol
In other news, Shipell Corbey (excuse spelling) was freakin well found guilty yesterday with 20 years in a Bali prisson (note to self: never, ever, under any circumstances, go near that country! And need I remind you young Miss RdFreak that the United States of America has the death penalty?) .. ahem .. think my moral of that story is that I will wrap my case in plastic which, i am told can me bought for 6 bucks at the airport. if memory serves it was infact fadge that told me that! hmmm
anyway Shipell is sooo not guilty, yet she gets to spend at least four years (if she doesn't get parole) in a jail that is iluded to be a lot worse than ours. a few to a cell, whole in the ground for toilet, food (that she refuses to eat) it's not fair! and all because she *didn't smuggle drugs into her own case and was therefore more than happy to show security her belongings! so, there went the "holiday" ahem ..
I am going out with YBCV to Vision Australia for their little talk on blindy travel which is kinda appropriate! People are giving their experiences.
I am hungry, i just got new email and an msn message so I'll be off.

how do you know Corby was innocent? I don't know whether she was innocent or guilty because I wasn't there when she packed her bags, I wasnt' there the baggage handlers handled her bags. I wasn't there in the court room listening to the evidence. So I know I can't judge.

um .. Lol .. I heard her speak a few times on TV and she doesn't sound like a druggy at all. I saw a documentary with her family and friends. no I wasn't there myself actually (thanks for telling me you weren't there. was information i lacked the knowledge of :) and as she was pleading for her innocence, she wouldn't have been that insistent. plus we find that it was a guy at the QLD airport who smuggled the drugs into her booggyboard bag.
I'm pretty good at judging a character actually from hearing someone speak/cry/whatever. call that stupid but it's true. i've always been that way.

i think one of the things that made me decide that she wasnt guilty was her character.
the way she speaks...
the way she has held herself together [so to speak...]
etc etc....

but then again, its always the ones you least expect that some up with the biggest scandal and shock us all.
however, my opinion still stands, that she is innocent.
i could very well be wrong, though ;)

I just hope more evidence surfaces soon, and they come to a conclusion.
not knowing for sure sucks.

Thanks. I never said she wasn't innocent. I just don't think the way the media portrays things is always neccessaryly true. They have a way of slanting things to their advantage.

and what advantage would they want out of what they portray? We all know, that as pig-headed as it can get sometimes, it knows and admits to its' own being guilty.
And Miss annonymous it would make me far less grumpy if you actually gave me your identity. I can look the IP address up myself but that takes time and energy that I'd rather not use up if you would be so kind as to do the simple work there for me!

i do have to agree with you.
I -belive- that shapelle is innocent, but thats just based on what ive seen/heard/read in the media. its the only thing we *can* base it on.
then after that, we have to sort out what could be fact, and whats probably fiction. what do *they* [media, spokespersons etc..] base their information on?

media is often very very one sided.

its really hard..
she either did it ... or she didnt do it.
but at this stage, only an *opinion* can decide.
we have no evidence that she DID do it? we also have no evidence that she DIDNT do it. im guessing that was the reason for the leniant sentance?

to get eastern time [thats ohio... NY...] you take OUR current time, minus TWO hours and switch the AM/PM [well, that also depends on the time of day, right now, its 12pm here, so its NOT going to be 10 am there ;)]
so, right now, in ohio its 10pm

to get CA, pacific time, minus 5 hours, its 7pm there, now.
