automatic windows updating

So I clicked on my updates which I had set up to automatically download for me (mind you I did set it up for sunday afo I thought, but it downloaded them Sat morning instead. weird.) Anyway it seems like it's installing service pack 2 as we speak! I did have it but since we went back to SP 1 from our original CD, guess it's doing it again! yeah for it! It's magic really! :)
I forgot to mention that Mum cut my hair last night - my fringe yes, but a bit off the back. Now it is above my shoulders again! very nice for me! :)
Also according to the braille advent calendar (that I decided to make yesterday cos I can and cos I was in a geeky mood - nothing new), there is 104 days til christmas, and 142 days til UK! So yeah for me I'm wishing my life away again! not really! Life is ... um .. interesting to say the least!
Friends will come and go. People walk in and out of your life like .. um ... like ... computer files come and go from my computer! huh?! Lol OK .. ahem I'm still sick!
I was asleep last night when someone called me on skype! and I have no idea who because I still haven't installed the skype jaws scripts yet. I will do that. but I am disappointed that me contact list hasn't returned! not fair! it did on rich' puter when I signed in there. so it doesn't proove that the contact list resides on your puter! so may have to ask around again!
This SP 2 wizzard is weird. it's saying "cansel button unavailable", "finish button unavailable" yet it is still installing files! crazy stuff!
Oh yeah, and christmas is at our house again this year! and I will use my MD! And, I will call up tAFE tomorrow. Keep saying it but I know I will tomorrow! I'm sad and random this morning!
that's strange with the xp SP2 buttons saying unavailable when they're not!
But now I shall hit the "finish button" and like SP2 somehow, it won't be unavailable.

contact list on skype

The contact list does reside on the server if you are running skype 1.2.0 or later. sometimes you need to go into your profile directory after closing down skype then go into application data skype and edit config.xml in notepad and set sync needed to 1. next time you launch skype you'll get your contacts down. skype must be closed when you edit config.xml or it will get smashed when skype closes

ah so do you have to type the whole thing in? It doesn't any anything about "sync" in the file!

Hey, Rachel, I'm going to worry you to bits I think. The mystery skype caller was, ... me! Assuming, that is, that you only had the one call that was missed? I told ya that I'd try and catch you over a weekend, but, obviously, like a sensible girl, you were away from your PC. Never mind, your luck will eventually run out and I'll catch ya. Hehehehehehehe!
