happy birthday sis!

It's Angie's b/day today and I haven't called her yet - look at the time and shame on me! though i usually do call ppl first thing in the mornings. Well she was with Trentagon so yeah and that. .. I could call her mobile I guess .. might do that. then tomorrow we're going to parents, nan, I and trentagon for a family tea. Marsbar slice! hmmm it's been a while! I am going to take note of how to make it cos i wouldn't even need an oven!
I had to vote before. I voted for Liberal in both houses. .. not that I am a politics no-all. In fact, i hate hate hate the fact that I'm a "no-nofin" and will continue to remain that way no matter how many times ppl explain stuff to me. But I think I had most of it in my head from last time and then today Dad just filled in what I'd forgotten. So yes, me vote for Johny Howard and I don't give a hoot if I'm a dill because .. because .. just because ...
This morning I avoided going at 10 because of a zone chat which I organized so waited around and spoke to a few people but hardly anyone showed (which didn't worry me either way but it was just amusing really :) then Dad came and we walked down to where we voted last time but it wasn't there :( so we walked home and then we drove to a booth near parents house and voted there. Then went back for lunch and had a try of their new optus cable. then came back here and ended up chatting again to "PG" and "AO"
I am battling reflux again and .. how much does it have to drive me insane?! *grrrr
Oh well I spose I might go make it worse again by having tea.
S, K, J, Q, M and A are out at Ross' concert tonight. heh. would have loved to go too but there was no way that could happen.
I am "content" go me!
Oh A came over last night and she enjoyed my Roast, yeah! .. it's the first time I've cooked for her really and she didn't die :) Lol haha she enjoyed it! then we had a bit of a Disney listen fest and singsong and stuff. Lol .. man it's funny .. I was playing her some stuff on my puter and I, without kinda realizing what I was doing fully, I clicked on a commedy thing that I had not long before downloaded and hadn't played it yet -- "yoda loses his VPlates" :) and man we were both in stitches especially me cos poor A didn't know what to think! I think it's because she's not a nobis downloader of commedy/stuff so she kinda doesn't know what's out there kinda. .. Lol I was cracking up so hard, I couldn't stop and my stomach was about to turn inside out, ouch! A was like "are you OK" and I was then laughing at her laughing at me because I was expressing to her a "different" kind of laugh! man just to hear R2D2's response to .. Lol yeah?! hahaha! I love my ever-growing puter collection! hahahaha!
Well on that note I go and fix tea.

stupid elections

So I decide to go to bed and get myself updated on my friends page, but it's full of my ausie/Melbourne communities' anger and dismay and .. all that jazz that I really don't wish to be reading at 11.05 PM on a Sat night. I am wondering what the youth of this country is coming too? I would have thought they'd all be out clubbin and stuff .. but I guess not. .. anyway protests are pointless. Um, we had an election and Howard got in again; like a protest is going to do anything.
Dunno .. don't care. well actually, why all this sudden talk about politics in my LJ; there must be something very wrong with me!
I just hope that Howard keeps his promises this time around cos some of the stuff that has happened of late, even I know, has made me sad! :(
OK I go and hopefully find a clear patch of page.
