Nov. 20th, 2004 03:44 pmwell well I have just finished learning up to bar 13 of the beethoven symphany I started last week. I was sooo annoyed when I found yesterday that the only reason I was stuck is that I was reversing my left-hand interval and it didn't therefore sound right; what a freakin goof! but anyway .. I spent two hours at burwood yesterday, quite productively. We get so much done because we jump from topic to topic, maybe a little quickly and back again. We did some more reading of that which was awesome (cos then I was just able to learn it with a tiny bit of reflection from yesterday), and B also brailled some minuettes from Bach that I was given just to "read" for now. I'm just amazed at how well I'm picking it all up, except for that mix-up with the intervals which I will just .. um .. put behind me .. Lol Lol hahaha
and somewhere towards the end we some how got talking about the history of Loui Braille and the history of Bach and piano and all them! *unconsciously adds that to the list of things to do some net research on* but yeah it was cool! and I just worked on two lines of music and it is starting to sound "professional"!! ha ha! I tried to use the pedals but I can't quite remember how to use them effectively so I'll wait for now! So yeah .. got seven more bars to learn; much wootiness! :) I'll probably have it done way before Thursday (when I am going in again) and might even get a minutte or two in, ha yeah well .. right?!
Apart from that fun stuff, Heartly was really good with showing her initiave when I got a bit lost trying to find the entrance; she found it! ha ha! and, contending with bus drivers who forget your stop is really fun; not! oh well at least it was just when I was comin home. I still had half a walk back from the station that shouldn't have had to happen but they will put foreign bus drivers who can't speak to speak or read English on the mitcham route.
I keep saying to people, I am not racist by any means, but I am *absolutely *sick to death of dealing, or not being able to (should I say) deal with foreigners! For crying out loud, if they are going to employ people in a job that may require certain forms of asisstence and/or communication and a good freakin memory, employ an Australian, or at least someone who does the right thing by Australia, and learn to speak the language fluently before or when they arrive!
I've said this before, I'm going to stop before I get worked up!
Anyway I may do a phone post when I have finished this symphany, woohoo!
Nan came ovwer yesterday and was here when I got back. The funniest thing occured. AN called me, and all the time Nan thought she was AK (sister) and was telling her how worried she was cos I didn't take my walet or my mobile, and yeah it was funny! have got half the convo on my answering machine! AN was trying to tell her who it was, but Nan couldn't hear her or somethin. I have never laughed so hard for a long time! Lol
This morning Nan read me the whole info kit on Lifeline and turns out i missed the damn info evening last wednesday but am going to try and call them Monday and see what they say. Other than that it osunds pretty good. Got to call up about the radio thing too.
that's about all for now.
oh am going to parents for tea tonight.
Til next time, RdFreak
