well well I have just finished learning up to bar 13 of the beethoven symphany I started last week. I was sooo annoyed when I found yesterday that the only reason I was stuck is that I was reversing my left-hand interval and it didn't therefore sound right; what a freakin goof! but anyway .. I spent two hours at burwood yesterday, quite productively. We get so much done because we jump from topic to topic, maybe a little quickly and back again. We did some more reading of that which was awesome (cos then I was just able to learn it with a tiny bit of reflection from yesterday), and B also brailled some minuettes from Bach that I was given just to "read" for now. I'm just amazed at how well I'm picking it all up, except for that mix-up with the intervals which I will just .. um .. put behind me .. Lol Lol hahaha
and somewhere towards the end we some how got talking about the history of Loui Braille and the history of Bach and piano and all them! *unconsciously adds that to the list of things to do some net research on* but yeah it was cool! and I just worked on two lines of music and it is starting to sound "professional"!! ha ha! I tried to use the pedals but I can't quite remember how to use them effectively so I'll wait for now! So yeah .. got seven more bars to learn; much wootiness! :) I'll probably have it done way before Thursday (when I am going in again) and might even get a minutte or two in, ha yeah well .. right?!
Apart from that fun stuff, Heartly was really good with showing her initiave when I got a bit lost trying to find the entrance; she found it! ha ha! and, contending with bus drivers who forget your stop is really fun; not! oh well at least it was just when I was comin home. I still had half a walk back from the station that shouldn't have had to happen but they will put foreign bus drivers who can't speak to speak or read English on the mitcham route.
I keep saying to people, I am not racist by any means, but I am *absolutely *sick to death of dealing, or not being able to (should I say) deal with foreigners! For crying out loud, if they are going to employ people in a job that may require certain forms of asisstence and/or communication and a good freakin memory, employ an Australian, or at least someone who does the right thing by Australia, and learn to speak the language fluently before or when they arrive!
I've said this before, I'm going to stop before I get worked up!
Anyway I may do a phone post when I have finished this symphany, woohoo!
Nan came ovwer yesterday and was here when I got back. The funniest thing occured. AN called me, and all the time Nan thought she was AK (sister) and was telling her how worried she was cos I didn't take my walet or my mobile, and yeah it was funny! have got half the convo on my answering machine! AN was trying to tell her who it was, but Nan couldn't hear her or somethin. I have never laughed so hard for a long time! Lol
This morning Nan read me the whole info kit on Lifeline and turns out i missed the damn info evening last wednesday but am going to try and call them Monday and see what they say. Other than that it osunds pretty good. Got to call up about the radio thing too.
that's about all for now.
oh am going to parents for tea tonight.
Til next time, RdFreak

Hey, even non-foreign drivers have memory lapses, lol! I was on the town bus and I told the driver right when I got on that I needed to get off at the grocery store. So, I'm kind of daydreaming and gazing out the left window which I could see better out of and once in awhile peering to the right and out of the corner of my bad eye, I see the sign for the store and I go "Hey wait a minute, grocery store!" Luckily, the driver laughed and stopped and I wasn't that far from the actual stop, so I could easily walk there. You know, I wonder how old is too old to learn piano. I know my basics, but I'd like to learn enough to play keyboards in a band.

well you know, I am 25 and I am going back to learn. sure, I may have remembered the bits when I was little but, really, you should go for it. I can't believe I ever would have said this, but I highly recommend braille music in conjunction with the ear. - it is a lot quicker if you can get your music under your fingers! <33

Well good morning good afternoon or good evening! when ever it is you get this! Well the piano stuff you're learning is similar to the vocal training I'm going for, and am gradgually learning myself! It's very hard for sure, but I figure if Matthew Barlow x vocalist for Iced Earth got vocal training, then dam it I say what the hell! I'll do it! after all you've probably guessed my first love is and always will be music, so if the radio broadcasting stuff falls through, I've got music to fall back on, weather it be lead vocalist in a power metal outfit, or a producer in a recording studio. Maybe I can combine the two like Stevie Wonder does very effectivly, I figure if he does that, then so can I. Well enough of that, I couldn't agree more on the foreigners thing, and like yourself I'm not a racest person at all, and as far as that's concerned I get the same crap with cab drivers in Vancouver, so I can identify with all the frustration that goes with the taritory. Well that's about all from this crazy canadian, so talk at ya later!

Well I never had pationce to learn braille music, I tried it, but I gave up. Plus I got really bored of all that clasical music that you're supposed to learn, so I just gave up lol. I still remember the basics though, this was all when I was like 12 or something..im 27 now. Regarding foreigners, living in England, but not being English noone can accuse me of being racist, but I totally agree with everything you said and everyone else, there's nothing worse than going in to a public place, be it a bus, cab, post office, a restaurant and realise that a person who was supposed to serve/assist you doesn't even speak english! If those idiots are gonna employ someone in places where comunication with the public is one of most important thing than make sure that they can comunicate properly!
