(no subject)

well my iriver is now charging! :) all I needed was an adapter for it, and turns out I might of even had it though I tried it and it didn't work. maybe it was just a case of not pushing it in hard enough but who knows! anyway I now got a travel adapter that is very multi-cultural so that's a good thing I guess anyway Lol!
anyway Nan and I went into Melbourne central for that. then we ended up stopping at Boxhill on the way back as I thought I could gget the guy from DickSmiths to help me figure how to at least turn the thing on and press "yes" so I can install rockbox myself. :) so we did that. Nan was ttrying to read me the instruction book but it was all in Japanese. dodgy! anyway he was able to show me how to turn it on and what all the other buttons and jacks were so hopefully I should be right now! :) yeah!
it is sooo hot! 35 today, cooler tomorrow and meant to get up to 41 Sunday. This is the hottest summer we've had by far, since I've existed anyway! wow! then I go straight from here into the dead of winter. but J tells me it's not the coldest month; that it's past over there!
Nan wanted to come back on the bus with me and she stayed on to go home the Clayton way and I course just got off and crossed over and was home pretty much! and now I have my fan on beside me!
Well off I go to answer msn messages and I won't touch the iriver til it is nicely charged up! :)

I wish I can drive!

Lol I miss my Blind kiss. that show was sooo funny! anyway as subject line kinda reflects my mood right now. I followed all the instructions and patched the downloaded latest iriver firmwear and patched it to the rockbox to make a boot thing (don't understand really. I just follow instructions :) which is all good and nice and dandy and stuff then it told me to plug it into my USB, yes, fine did that. turn it on. I did it! and I heard the hard disc wirl up and I saw the drive appear in my computer, and then the instructions told me to copy or move the patched file but I decided I wouldn't do that cos then it said that I needed to then go to the main menu of my iriver and patch it which I can not do without working eyes! *grrrrrr I totally didn't think the sighty thing applied any more. I obviously had skipped over that when I read it before! *grrr so it sucks! I need a sighty; it's not fair *grrrr! guess I could see if dad can come over. but it just sucks and stuff! or maybe as jmosen did in his review, you do everything but that step so you cann't actually use it but when a sightie comes you can then just tell them to patch it! yeah he did that; I'd forgotten about that. and then I couldn't remember how to turn it off! but then I think I found it. was pressing a few buttons and stuff. and then I disconnected it from USB and the rockbox site said I should make sure I do it safely through remove hardwear wizzard or something, but I didn't know what it actually referred too. However, something odd did happen when I connected this. my puter went into standby or something and i had to end up rebooting weird. and then this softwear that I installed from the CD comes up each time I reboot now and says "found new hardwear" but I didn't really get that either cos when I installed that, it wasn't hardwear! so weird! anyway I since heard that that's more of a visual program anyway and ya don't need it. So I probably don't need it really.
ah well yep I'll do that. I'll reconnect and hopefully my puter won't go all weird again. and I'll install everything except the obvious patching the firmwear. I'll have to do a jmosen and wait til I find some working eyes! *grrr well Heartly's eye are working but she doesn't understand technical stuff. *grr

p.S.maybe I can go and see if I can direct a neighbour to do it. I mean it gives the directions on the site but am not sure if either of them would freak since it's like a computer. Either that or I can go to parents tomorrow but it's gunna be hot! maybe I can see where ang is as she's always going out. maybe she could call in here or something. ah well I'll work on it.
