Oct. 13th, 2006 10:01 amWell, a few things:
Firstly I'm currently not on the internet; am not sure why it's not connecting. about to call TPG and find out. it's only 9.11 AM though.
Tomorrow Nan, Dad and I are off to Rye. should be really good, though I wish the weather was going to be as warm as yesterday and today. I'm listening to Neil now and he's talking to the Prime Minister about the drout everywhere. It's pretty shocking; we certainly shouldn't get such hot Octobers like this with fires apparently raging already. I just shudder (and I'm sure many other people too) to think of our summer. I certainly may still hopefully miss most of it regardless, I am not certain yet though. I know I would like to for this reason alone. I don't think I can stand a week of straight over-40 degree days in a row!
anyway, it's being said that the droubt is depressing a lot of the farmers and there have been some suicides. OK I know I'm obviously not a good one to judge but I wouldn't have thought suicide would be the answer. Afterall farms are obviously business but even money is literally not the end of the world. I mean, again I don't quite know how much the farmers rely on their business to live but surely they can grasp that this is all happening of natures own accord and there's nothing that can be done about the weather. (yes I know some would argue thatw we as a whole can stop this global warming, but too many people don't care). Anyway all I'm saying is no-one can immediately control the weather. I dunno .. I just don't get the whole suicide thing over the drout. Suicide is unfortunately usually something that is triggered from something within, well my experience anyway. OK I'll shut up about that.
(I just called TPG and they're having difficulties in New South wales, but that always seems to translate to Victoria as well.)so waiting waiting!
Last night i went to my parents for dinner. dad cooked his lovely spaghetti! Yesterday was also the first anniversary of Milos'd death. I wrote a letter here
I want mangos! Mangos are my favourite fruit! I soooo wish we can grow them down here! I'm biting the bullet and will get some today. then will have to master the fancy way of cutting them cos fancy that's the only thing holding me back! anyway they're just the best fruit evewr, ever, ever! yeah!
Dad and I watered my apricot tree last night Lol! first time I watered my plants here though I know I got to do it especially now summer is approaching and if I want apricots I've got to give my plants TLC. :)
think Nan is driving over here with some dog food for Heartly! we still get both the 20 KG bags of supercoat and farrels biscuits from that supply place near her in glenroy. they last months but they're getting down. And
guess what? I just heard someone sign into skype which means, I am on there! yeah and my email thinggy just played me a tune so guess it just means my email downloaded.
OK I can seriously cope without the net more than I did earlier (I use to be hopeless) but, it's more knowing that I haven't stuffed anything up. I'm going a day without the internet tomorrow! woh! I've done that before, but I mean I could go a week without it or more if I had too. OK it may be a struggle but I could do it. Lol
that's all I think.
til next time, RdFreak
