Well yesterday was good. I first met up with
k29 at Syndel. we were going to go to swiss bakery but it was closed so we just went to a different bakery.
We then parted at the station and I went into collect the DVD copies of my documentary. I listened to it again as it was being dubbed on to my course video tape. and I was pleased with the professionalism. course that was mainly due to the editting which was done by R, but as he said, I have definitely become a lot more confident. We both realize that my diction in some parts of the story telling needs much improving. the problem is, i am concentrating so hard on remembering all my lines that I don't announce some words. so got to work on that before I may be starting the voice over course.
anyway turned out well, and Al (my new buddy from U.K) gave me permision to use his latest composition which is used for the opening and closing credits. (see next entry for audio of doco).
So I have five DVDs for family and friends, and I wanted to try and run off a few more. I have a web site which offers this but in the hundreds; I don't need hundreds more, just a few in case i decide to send into channel 31.
I have just finished packing for rye. dad's been down there since last Monday. Ang and T were down last week and I will be going down on trains and busses today. 36 tomorrow, 38 Thursday so, along with plenty of sunscreen, I plan to swim a bit tomorrow. haven't done that for ages! then think Nan will be coming down friday.
I just copied a whole lot of stuff on to my iriver, since I had taken everything off to record christmas. don't know if I needed to do that but ah well! it didn't take long thanks to my faster USB thinggy. then rockbox decided to crash so had to reset the thing! *grrr* and when that happens the option to voice menus is off by default which sucks! so will have to get a sighty to read the screen as I turn them back on. stupid rockbox; I wish they'd make a full stable build. but it should be OK from now as I'm not planning to record at all (which is where crashing problems seem to start). so please rockbox? do something? surely it can't be good to keep resetting the iriver like that?!
anyway, seems i got another message on my mobile last night. will have to get dad to read them all to me! hopefully they're not too personal! Lol
Well, I would like to hereby ask any of my friends with optus mobiles to give me a call on the yes deal whenever! (do they still have the yes deal? I don't know :) it will be fun! and unlike here, rye has great reception. course I can't call most people as I am too reliant on talks for my phone book. it's terrible but I am trying to re-remember mobile numbers.
yesterday I didn't have a mobile as it had gone flat, so needed a phone box to let R know I was at station. so had a few mobile numbers running around in my head all yesterday! I need to work on my memory again so it's probably a good thing.
right I'll go, and may put the audio of doco up on the next entry. would love to put the immages up too but atm I only know how to capture the audio of a DVD.
