Well, I got back from Rye about six hours ago. But we drove back to parents where we had a lovely roast meatloaf and vegies for lunch. And I was to pick up my keys which ang came and got on Tuesday before I left as Mum was going to come over that night to get out of ang and her TAFE friend's hair. she didn't end up coming though. anyway .. ahem ..
Tuesday I left about 1 and got there at about 4.40 no problems at all. Dad picked me up from Dunda street (bus stop) and we walked back, had a BBQ tea, I was allowed to watch me neighbours yeah (what a sacrifice for dad) then, we went and had a walk along the beach. we walked up to the anual carnival (where there was unfortunate police bashings new years eve). we had a look, then walked back along the beach and walked home.
Wednesday morning was relaxing. I valued my iriver heaps and spent time listening to Mother and Son, Kath and Kim and parts of the top 100 countdowns! yeh! I love my iriver! all the better when I update rockbox!
Dad decided to go get a beach umbrella for the afo. he actually got a market one which was a lot bigger, and cheaper for some reason, Lol then in the afo we took that down to the beach, and along with plenty of sunscreen, I went in the water. I walked quite far out since it's a very safe beach which has many sandbars. so once the water would be up to my neck it would get as low as my ankles again. so yeh, it's very safe for little kids! anyway, dad didn't go in though he did a tad to direct me back to shore when I needed it. I eventually figured out a pattern in the sand which helped me to navigate my way a little.
After a bit of experiencing the shade of the umbrella, I went in again, just sitting on the edge digging holes and coming across many many shells - some were still joined together so presumed fish were still inside them.
anyway, the beach was absolutely littered with people - and actual litter literally I'm afraid to say.
That night we went to Larpachetta's for tea where I decided I didn't like the restaurant after having my second bad meal there - calamari rings and vegies which were plain and, dodgy.
Thursday we relaxed in the morning, then we went to safeway as we'd run out of a few essential food items. We went to chinese for tea which was absolutely awesome!
Friday, relaxing morning again, as as with the previous days, dad did bacon and eggs on the barby, mmm! .. then we drove to Sarrento where we bought some lunch then walked down to the beach. We were contemplating the Queenscliff fairy but we didn't in the end. we just went on the peer and watched all the boats fuelling up and leaving. Heartly was scared as ever on the peer. the boards were loose and the gaps meant the poor dog was shaking!
anyway after a while we walked back to car and drove home. Nan arrived soon after and we just had a cuppa, chatted and they looked at photos taken by Nan's new digital camera we gave her for christmas! Nan is getting a bit of a touch for technology! Lol
then dad made another barbie tea encluding his awesome risholes!
then after a while we all went for a walk along the beach to the carnival and I went on a couple of the rides - the big dipper and the pirate ship with Dad. I can't remember the last time I went on a ride, not really being too into them and all. but it was all fun! the dipper went sooo fast!
I also bought this rubbery ball thing that has different colour flashing lights when ya turn it on by squeezing it. It originally came with rope to chuck around the neck, but that unfortunately fell off as soon as I got home.
Heartly loved every minute, running all over the beach when the leash times were off.
anyway, today I already covered. Nan came back here with me, and she'll be going to parents tomorrow to help with ironing.
I was impressed with tpg. they didn't block my mail even though I had over 1000 emails. damnit! most of it is spam, unbelievable and extremely frustrating! .. but I heard back from S.O so that was awesome!
oh, also showed dad and Nan the DVDs and they were pretty impressed. gave one to both of them.
bout all for now. not going to have a big tea tonight as we had the main course for lunch but may have some of me olive dip on crackers.
til next time, RdFreak
P.S. on 16th (if I remember rightly) first round uni offers come out, *shudders* hmmm, OK I spose I need to remain positive!
