I sooo can't sleep. it's only 7.47 and usually on my weeks off, I will enjoy a good lay in, but not today.
Last night was the hottest May night on record since 1947 (I think). wow! and it's blowing a gale outside; all these reasons why I just needed to get up!
apparently it's going to get way colder and rain and thunder later!
wow, there's all of a sudden been a major influcks of requests from LJ'ers to join the awesome [livejournal.com profile] neighbours_aus community of late. I've approved about four in the past fifteen mins, and about two yesterday and a few more last week! Since I'm the sole accepter while the lovely [livejournal.com profile] rantingjules is away, she will be pleased with her growth to her founding community! It's weird, cos usually we may get one a fortnight or month at most, but never this! Lol! anyway .. we'll be up to 200 members quite quickly at this rate!
I kinda feel weird; like not myself; like not depressed or upset, but not dancing on the moon; just kinda indifferent! ah well, my moods seem to go with the weather!
Last night I had very weird dreams.

I dunno if one has more vivid dreams if they have their period or what?! Lol
Indeed, another reason why I'm probably awake is I kinda crashed early last night, even before BigBro finished. I was only meant to listen to an audio blog on me LJ but I fell asleep. and I get sick of the BigBro noms and how they drag out so much sometimes, but I will no doubt find out who was nominated tonight.
I am finished working on my U.S entries btw yeh! :)
As on msn, 41 days til U.K and Germany - well in 48! :)
Yesterday doctor Phil was about scams, and I ended up watching Oprah afterwoods; which I don't normally watch any more. anyway it was about heros and it was kinda sad!
first of all, there was this freaky story about this 7 foot bear which broke into a normal surberbian house by breaking the door down and was attacking this woman. her fifteen-year old daughter called 911. she also ended up grabbing some kitchen meat and looering the bear to eat it. The Mum was in a bad way and spent some time in hospital of course, including to sew her ear back on!
anyway the 911 thing kinda disturbs me and I'm wondering if it's like this with our 000 (will get to it in a minute).
the next story was about this older guy who accidently drove (instead of reversed out a carpark) into a river or something with his young granddaughter and the car was of course sinking fast. the young girl called 911 (and this is what troubles me):
girl: Help, we're drowning.
911: what happened?
girl (frantic obbviously): our car is in the lake and we're sinking.
911: can you open the window?
girl: no quick quick.
lady: where abouts are you?
girl (frantically) explaining where they were. Hurry
"911: where is the water up to:
girl:
man i dunno; just all this hopeless conversation when it's nearly a life death situation. Just stop talking and send someone out! *grrr* she's in destress, hello?!
anyway turns out this young guy jumped in, and though the doors were locked, threw a rock at the window to break it and was able to drag the unconscious girl out. anyway, she was able to be revived; sadly, the grandfather wasn't. that was sooo sad, but at the same time, relieved that the young girl survived.
the final story was about this mother who saved her children from this huge twister that tore up their home. she covered them with her body and as a result, was paralyzed and is now in a wheelchair. didn't say how it happened; guess sshe got a bit torn up by flying debrey.
anyway, I've written a novel and I am a bit over it, so I will write more soon. I had this piece in my head I want to try get down later, about a sense of humour in the first person. (sounds weird to try and explain here without just doing it later).
til next time, RdFreak
:edit: P.S how in blazes could I have forgotten this? I burnt my finger last night, big time! Not fun!
I was cooking chicken sznitzel in the fryingpan and I kept damn well losing the handle. anyway, I must have rested my right nuckle on the side of the boiling pan and all of a sudden, my reflexes started to work damnit! a bit late! Lucky it was only my nuckle and a tad beyond but gosh it killed for ages after! always makes me wonder how those who have burns over their body actually cope? *shudders*
